Please make a part 2! I don’t know CFL well, but I love football, the plays where things that don’t happen in American football (like the one where he kicks and the receiver gets it in the end zone) are my favorite
The Danny McManus-led lions in a snowy Western Final in Calgary, waaaaay back. The other Flutie doing snow angels in the end-zone. Seem to remember that gave the Lions a berth at home in the Grey Cup.
That last one was actually a game I worked at, and we were allowed to watch the game at the end... BOY WAS THAT A GREAT GAME!!! The too-many-men penalty still burns hard, though... I still remember watching the game with my dad and sister... when the three minute warning came on, my dad was convinced of the Rider's win, so he ordered us to get ready to join the celebrations in downtown Regina. We texted our mom, who was in San Diego at the time and watching the game on a tablet screen (the US didn't broadcast CFL back then) and she was excited. I started my dad's car and my sister cleared the food out of our basement. Then the miss came, and we were THRILLED... then the call came, and the retry, and it was like someone had hit the mute button on the city... NO ONE was talking, NO ONE was driving... to this day, I still cannot repeat my dad's words that night... too profane for me even thirteen years later
As a Bombers fan since 1982 that Montreal game at 21:28 has always been one of my favorites. I saw it live and still go back and watch highlights of it.
Thank you for this channel! I love your content. I'm not sure how you obtain it, but there's so much great game footage that is old. More early 2000s, 90s, 80s, and earlier would be appreciated.
@@lemonator8813 It was a terrible call, especially because the Stamps warned the officials before the play that it was coming! That call led directly to video replay the next year. That blown call also cost me the CFL Pool win that season!
@@lemonator8813 It was only a few hundred bucks, but the loss of bragging rights with my brothers and friends and not having my name on the trophy that year hurt.
CFL refs suck, at 1:34 you can’t get 4 plays in with no time left. And at 3:36 the WR clearly has 2 feet down. Man refs hate the stampeders. It was so clear. Calgary was so robbed
