Taylor Powell completed 18 of his 23 pass attempts and running back James Butler recorded 118 yards and a touchdown both in the air and on the ground in the Tiger-Cats upset victory over the Lions on Saturday.
Embarrassing performance from the Lions as they came out completely flat in the 1st half, & showed no Urgency & Minimal effort to win in the 2nd half... Half of the Lions players could have played this game with a carton of eggs on them & not broken any!! This Lions team needs to do some serious soul searching before their next game...
Coming from a Lions fan all I can say is if they can't beat a team like that then they how are they gonna succeed in the playoffs because this was flat out unacceptable.
Lions receivers dropped a lot of catch-able passes and they lost the turnover battle. The Tiger-cats secondary was very poor again. The just can not read the play or make the first contact tackle. The Ti-Cat offensive line played awesome and so did Butler. Powell also played well although he was sacked 4 times. The referees made 2 really bad calls. The obvious fumble where they never determined who had position and the missed pass interference (I can't remember name of the players involved) where the Ti-Cat defender obviously pulled on the jersey of the BC receiver. I can see BC keeping their 3rd place ranking and Hamilton moving up to a 6th or 7th place ranking (ahead of Edmonton and Calgary and maybe Ottawa).
@@ryanfriesen4366 BC still has a strong record at 7-4. Montreal, Calgary lost. I predict: Toronto, Winnipeg, BC, Sask, Montreal, Hamilton or Ottawa, Calgary, Edm.. If Ottawa loses to Edm, than Ottawa moves to 9th..
Turned game off after third quarter. WTH is up with no running game? QB back to his first reads only and you could see it in the reactions of the Ticat defense. The defense blitz packages seem to be known by the other teams.
Two games in a row Lions get beat by 3rd string Quarterbacks executing their plays. Looks like other play callers in the league have the Lions weaknesses figured out.
I am in BC... And this is officially the last cfl game of the season for me. Half the stems are empty. Half the games are garbage. Bring on college and nfl.
