These bikes are good fun. I'm lucky enough to work as a CFMOTO and Suzuki dealer and get to try out different bikes. I was quite surprised by the 800MT, and it handled some offroad work very well. I did, however, find it less manageable compared to a Suzuki 1050 due to the wider seat the 800MT has. Compared to the new Suzuki 800, they both handle the same on and offroad. Motor is the same 790 KTM engine made on the same line as the "KTM" stamped units by CFMOTO. I haven't done a set of pads on one of these yet, but if they're the same as other CFMOTOs, they are a ceramic compound. Great tyre choice, but be mindful of the front if it is also the Adventure and not the Adventure HT. The HT is there to replace the standard as the standard has issues with tyre wear and tearing knobs off at the carcass even though Motoz tried to fix it with the MK2.
Hi Sheridan, firstly my apologies as i didnt see you hole message as i opened it on my phone. Than you for taking the time to sending me the comments you did. Thanks for the info on the pads and especially on the tyres. I know I will chew through them very quickly as I'm still going to be doing black top riding to get to my rides. I will see how the motoz tractionator adventure go but feel on my next set I will go with the GPS tyres. I have to say coming from an 400Kg Indian (which is still in the garage) the CFmoto 800MT feels light lol. Thanks again and my next video i will be filming more bush riding with possibly a creek crossing or two lol.
@roadtripperozadventures The GPS is another great tyre. I ran one on the back of my DR650 in the Mostly Dirt orientation with the ADV on the front. Was a great combo but the solid centre rib made for interesting moments on the road in the pouring rain. I'm itching to jump on the 450MT once it arrives at my shop.
Picking mine up 9 15 am tomorrow. I have to back off my rear preload a bit so my feet reach the ground better Manual say to count circles which i dont see, but i think once the sidecovers off to get access to the adjustment ring ill see them. The ones on the front are easy peasy to see !!! Thank btw for helping me decide to get this Spaceship !! Still havent rode it yet , thats going to change in about 16 hours!!
Wow congratulations and how exiting. You will be busy getting to know the bike. There are so many accessories available to make it your own too. Enjoy and be safe.
@@roadtripperozadventures I'm back home with a permanent smile mate !!. Fits like a glove👍 what a sound happens when you crank it!!!!!!!!!!!!! cant wait till breakins over.
@@jamiehalifax4954 enjoy and I’m so glad it fits you well. Yes the brake in period is a punish but make sure you don’t give it a little every now and then. Congratulations
Fantastic bike .. Almost done 4K on my white cfmoto800 explore and like you say ticks the boxes for value for money, a fun motor and all the bells & whistles means you really don’t need to upgrade much as it’s mostly all there for the average riders requirements. I didn’t go with the cfmoto hard cases but instead put a givi 58ltr top box on (fits two full face helmets) and the giant loop soft panniers which keep the weight down and hopefully cushion the bike when I fall off one day 😅. Have to say I’m loving the cruise control on the highway and when things get cool the heated grips and seat are AWESOME. The radar is an awesome safety feature to have and the bidirectional quick shifter leaves EVERYONE behind at the lights !…lol. The only little niggle I’ve noticed so far is when the fuel gets low it tends to lose the kms to empty reading but it still gives you low fuel warning lights. Have you done any night riding by chance ?…I’m really impressed at how this thing lights up the road on high beam !..those possums don’t stand a chance 😂
Oh I’m so sorry as I just saw the rest of your message. See I need to make sure I wear my glasses 🤓 more often lol. I get what you’re saying regarding the soft bags and if I had my turn over again I would do what you did and go with the Givi bags. I haven’t done night riding as such but I did do a dusk ride home and I have to say the lights did light up the street signs so I’m hoping in the dark they are good. I’m looking to filming a dirt track ride review and use my drone to capture some footage. I will also give a review on the tyres and how they feel on the bike. Hope you get to see it. Thanks again.
Great to see you are enjoying your new adventure bike Damian, I think you’ll find the tyre change a real benefit off road, I’ve used the same for a while now & found them good on almost everything but be careful if on wet bitumen like most knobbiest I guess.
Lucky man. Bike looks great in Black and the new exhaust makes it sing. Those Adventure tyres are long lasting with great grip in most scenarios but be careful in the wet they get a bit slippery especially on the tarmac. North Warrandyte, great place to live, twisty roads and tracks on your doorstep. Look forward to seeing where you take your bike next.
Thank you for mentioning about the tyres in the wet as I’ve noticed the other day it slipping a bit. Need to watch the throttle input on the corner ls 😝. Yes Warrandyte is a great place with plenty of roads in my doorstep. I sometimes forget how good it is. Thanks again 🙏
Great video, I am interested in buying a bike like this. How many years warranty do they have? Is it possible to fit a 21" wheel in the front? Liked and subscribed
Thank you and I’m glad you liked the video. The bike comes standard with 2 year unlimited warranty but if you have it serviced by the dealer CFMoto extend it by another year making it 3 years in total. I’m not sure about fitting a 21” wheel on it but I can’t see why not. How good if they realised a model X with a 21” 😜
@@roadtripperozadventures OK, thank you good to know. I guess warranty can vary from country to country. I am Swedish but live in Mexico, here they only have 2 years warranty if I understood right. Also been looking at the Suzuki 800DE, 2 years warranty in Mexico, a whooping 7 years in Sweden. About the wheel, well I would think there might be an issue with the fender. But maybe it can be moved.
@@magnusb6311 yea I agree that many countries have their own rules regarding warranties. Regards to the front tyre, the fender could be lifted. I’m just not sure about the ABS if it would be effected. But I’ve heard some rumours about a model X with a 21” front
Hi There thank you for commenting. I'm 5'10'and the bike is set up on the standard height. I bought the exhaust on AliEpress, unfortunately i deleted the link but you can find the Leo Vince exhaust there. Hope this helps.
Hi mate from the UK i have the same bike just wondered if you had a slightly snatchy throttle Seems us guys in the UK are all suffering from this issue. Ive subbed your channel would appreciate one in return Loved the vid and love CF Moto Explore
Hi mate welcome and thank you for the sub, I will return the favour. I have to say my throttle is good. I’ve heard a lot of people saying it’s snatchy but mine is good. Looking forward to your videos. Let’s keep in touch.
Try throttle relearn procedure since factory loads average data for throttle positions. Any tolerance variations said bike may be cause snatchy throttle as logic counts on throttle rotation positions could fall out of desired calibration.
@@roadtripperozadventures. Side stand up. Kill switch on position. Rotate throttle grip full power , turn ignition whilst holding full throttle for 1 minute, then slowly unwind throttle back to rest position, turn ignition off then on.
