CFMOTO Ibex 800T/800MT - Throttle Mapping FIX - No Tools Needed! 

Hey everyone, I can't thank you enough for this video!! It's amazing! Finally, two issues are now a thing of the past (more on that later). First of all, I can confirm that this reset also works for the 800 MT EXPLORE model year 2023 (Germany)!! However, it requires a slight adjustment in the process: When the Explore is turned on with the "Kill switch" on (=engine won't start), the default mode always seems to be "Rain" and it can't be changed. Any attempt to switch modes is simply ignored. I don't know if it's a bug or intentional, but activating "Sport" just doesn't work. So, I turned the bike on with the Kill Switch on, which results in "Rain" mode. Then, I turned the Kill Switch off, changed to Sport mode via "Fn button", turned Kill Switch on again, turned off the ignition, removed the key and then turned it back on BEFORE it went into deep standby. This kept it in Sport mode with Kill Switch "on" as you want it. After that, I followed the video instructions exactly. I did the procedure twice (with a cold engine) because I didn't expect it to work. But what can I say? It DID work and how!! Absolutely awesome!! I repeated the whole process at a parking lot while the bike was warmed up, as suggested in a comment here. I don't know if it made a big difference but it didn't hurt either. But that's not all that changed: I suspected that this might also make the cruise control feel smoother?! And it does! Amazing! Now, here is the undeniable proof that this actually works (to the skeptics): My cruise control was previously limited to 120 km/h, which is just about the minimum speed on the German Autobahn for most people. It always annoyed me a bit, but I could live with it. So, I'm playing around with the cruise control while riding and wonder why I'm getting faster?! I look at the display and see "130 km/h"! I can't explain whether it was a bug before or if it's the same for all European deliveries, but I'm 100% sure that setting it to 130 km/h was not possible before! Now it is. For me, this is an incredible upgrade in comfort and "relaxation factor" on the bike. Huge thanks to you all and best regards from Germany!!

Seems to have worked for my 2023 CL-X700 Heritage.

I test rode one of these bikes in Southern California two weeks ago. The throttle jerkiness was so bad. I decided not to buy this bike. But thanks to your post I will reconsider.

hey thank you, a friend of mine bought this and the jerky throttle scared him a bit. dealer asked him 800$ to fix it which i think is just straight up robbing him. Thank you again i will update once he try this

Apparently it happens to 450MT too, any idea how to fix it?

I did that when I first got my Ibex last year. Made a difference. Saw the post about this yesterday on the FB channel. What its doing is re-zeroing the throttle positioning sensor, and the mass air flow sensor from what I understand.

I'm seriously thinking about buying this bike but the throttle response problem being experienced by owners is making me hesitant to buy. Can anyone tell me after having done this procedure and having rode a period of time, did this fix last? I have experienced these lean conditions in other fuel-injected engines and to be quite honest it drives me crazy and would prefer not to have to deal with it. An honest time-tested update on the fix would be very appreciated.

Did this yesterday on my 2024 800NK, USA model. It works quite well!!!!!! Very pleased to have found this as I have been riding mostly in street mode just because of the jerkiness in sport!!!!!

Thanks for this, I tried this procedure on my CF Moto 450MT this morning and it worked, the snatchy feeling is much better, not perfect, but way better than before at low speeds through town.

Watched your video last night and got a chance today to try this on my 650 Adventura. Blown mind here. The difference is amazing. I've had my bike 2 years and never could get adjusted to the throttle sensitivity. A few times riding the Dragon Tail it about crashed me. Next month I will be going back again and really looking forward to the curves now. Thanks so much for sharing because not only did you make riding more enjoyable your making it a lot safer for many riders. Keep up the great work.

Thank you, this worked great! 2023 Ibex 800s. This made a massive difference in the smoothness of acceleration and all jerkiness is completely gone! She feels like a totally different bike now. I didn’t even realize how jerky the throttle actually was until I did this fix and it disappeared.

Perfect fix. Smooth and linear throttle behaviour after throttle remap. 2 software updates never fixed bad throttle behaviour. All dealers should be aware of this sure fire fix.

I went through the process and there was a definite improvement.. There was still the horrible lurch as you closed the throttle.. So still jerky but much smoother.. Then, whilst riding after the reset I thought "I reset the throttle with a cold engine" ... SO on returning I went through the process again.. Then took it out for a ride.. OH MAN.. SO MUCH BETTER....

Maybe I just don't notice it or they've fixed it, or just coming from a 390 Duke it's just that much better, but I bought an 800t a few days ago and it's butter smooth. Thanks for the tip though. Definitely saving it in case anything comes up. I love the bike.
