Yep, I had high expectations from Honda but I guess it is not gonna happen. I wanted a Japanese brand so that the nostalgia feels right, Kawasaki ZX4RR is cool but it doesn't look retro.
Thanks for the review. I think this bike will sell really well. For less than half the money of a Kawasaki ZX-4RR you get a well made refined motorcycle. If you don’t want a parallel twin this is a compelling option.
Thank you as always for watching! Yes, I think if it’s available globally, it would be a great success, I see many people adore this design. And it’s pleasant to ride, I would get one
@@eddywave3315 no news on release date in Australia, we have got the 450SRS which is a beast but we are a low priority market I think. Can you do a more extended review on the 450SRS like the Voom. I think the long form review with extended ride is more informative
I love the new CFMoto line up! I ride a 2023 CLX 700 Sport and I am looking to get the new 675SRR when it comes to the USA. Being that CFMoto is a Chinese company the aftermarket on Aliexpress is absolutely huge and very affordable. Great content, really appreciate the update. Will CFMoto be releasing the 500SR Voom in North America?
Thank you! I don’t know yet about other countries, but I see advertisement of Voom all over the place, so I expect to see it in North America as well. I’m waiting for 675SRR as well, I’ve already preordered it, hope to get it soon
Bro, your videos are the bestes english review that ive seen, are very understadable also youre one the few testers that shows this kind of motorcycles befores than no one, really like ur videos GOOD JOB (sorry if u cant get some part of the message, im still practice my english)
I notice first gear takes you to 80 km/hr, I would go +2 teeth in the rear. It should make launches and accelerations much more in tune with it´s powerband and weight. Great review BTW, we´ve been waiting for this one.
Gears are long, but shorter than zx4 and 450rr, but I find it hard to launch well, I think changing rear sprocket will definitely improve the acceleration, but overall it will take away from the general smooth feel of the riding experience
YEAHHH ITS HERE ! WOW such a funky looking bike, just the looks alone is enough reason to get one, its definitely very different from others. flaws and quirks aside, im sure it will be rectified later by CFMOTO. thank you for covering it, hope you can do more rides on it soon !
I think CFMOTO made a risky decision, which turned out to be 100% worth trying) I rode it again in twisties, and double checked acceleration, so new videos are coming! Thank you for watching 🤜🤛
A great review crazy Dizi! Shame it doesn't have RBW. Not so much cruise control, but definitely rider modes. Its got enough high tech with traction control & quick shifter. Im actually not a fan of high reving 4 cylinders. More of a twin rider. This rocket will definitely lose a lot of licences. Looks ate very neo classic. You do fantastic videos & are always having fun! Keep it up & take care! Thanks for sharing. Always the first to ride realistic priced bikes! Spart from the V4S Ducati. Thats on another level😉
I thank you as always for your support! NK800 brought my expectations high, with RBW and other cool things, so as I was waiting for Voom since the initial announcement, I was expecting as least the same teck pack, sadly we didn’t get that, but the weight is my biggest issue, coz it’s the heaviest bike in the class. It was an awesome ride nonetheless, I’ve preordered SRS675 already, and still thinking of renting this for a month while waiting. BTW speaking of SRS675, which color option do you prefer? White or Gray? Thank you for watching 🤝
Thank you, I have wanted to see/hear this bike in action, instead of someone showing pictures and doing a voice over. This bike is amazing, I hope we get it here in the States.
As always - great and insightful review. Its seems you had a great blast on the Voom. Sadly, the curb weight is somewhat limiting and no gas by wire (corning ABS) is an omission. As someone wrote below, your channel is an awesome channel for CF Moto content. Many thanks! Keep it up!
I appreciate it🤝 194kg isn’t too bad overall, but given the competition, it’s the heaviest by far, which isn’t something I was expecting. Thank you for watching! Your support means a lot 🤜🤛
Yep it will eventually ship to other markets. They said some may not get it due to homologation laws however. You'll just have to check with your local dealers.
to be lighter, the tank, the exhaust system need to be redesigned. the dual intake path does increase weight at the front compared to one. they should redesign the bike and add grooves in the hose, that will increase the turbulence on tbe air coming in and give it a higher ram air effect
Wow, what an excellent review and editing, commentary etc.. Love this CFMOTO design. I have to ask, was the bike past it's break-in period before the video? Instant sub btw. Great work.
I appreciate your comment more than you know man! Thank you! Yes, this bike has been ridden for almost 3 weeks by the time of my review. But it wasn’t available for a test ride earlier! Thank you again for watching and subscribing 🤝
Thank you! Great review, I'd love CFMOTO to use this power plant in neo-retro street bike, say styled like a 4 exhaust Honda K0 CB500/750Four for us old fossils that crave candy paint and chrome😄
Thank you! Well, who knows, CFmoto might as well surprise us with something like that in future! As we can see, then aren’t afraid to bring some good, old design
Thank you. Looking forward to your test of 675. I'm big fan of CFMOTO now, after owning my CLX700 Sport. Only bad thing is they are sold a lot more expensive in the US than in China. However, it's the only Chinese brand that has factory warranty and came into the US market as a manufacturer. How do you think of this 500SR vs. 700CLX Sport which has more torque, similar hp, brembo brakes and sticky Maxxis tires? To my surprise, you specs indicates it's only 450cc not really a 500cc.
I’m confused about specs myself, I heard two numbers so far 449 and 499cc. CLX700, will be faster and will have more torque, but this will be much more refined and smooth, gears will be longer, handling is great on both but it’s quite different. The biggest surprise for me is the brakes! They are just as great on Voom as Brembo. If you love inline 4, this bike is great
Honestly I need to ride them back to back to answer your question, but one of the most pleasant things about ZX4RR was RBW throttle, it was extremely precise and pleasant to use, other than that it’s very similar to Kawa, Kove didn’t feel as well made to be honest, but this is a trade off for super lightweight bike. Voom 500 is more similar to Zx4 but with no ride by wire
If you live inline 4 sound then yes, but speed/acceleration wise even though it feels very different, but number wise it’s very close, I would try 500sr first, and then decide
And as light as my Z900 ....... Z900 has traction control and modes with wire ;).....And they have effective mode....that cut power in half ;) Older cruise control was a mechanecal lock, now it is an ECU lock, as long as you have an ECU and a button, you don't need ride by wire, just an arduino. Looks are great on this bike, a little retro, a little modern...
It’s more sporty than ZX4rr but it’s very relaxing and comfortable for a person my size, today I will release a video comparison, I’ll talk about it there as well. Hope you like it
I think I would recommend, if you ride in a city or highways, but Kove is better for a track, and it’s way more aggressive, and it feels faster. Actually I’m editing 500sr vs 450rr comparison vid as I write this comment) hope you enjoy the new vid✊
Hello, greetings from Mexico. I have a couple of questions about this motorcycle. Can it be used daily and be comfortable, do you consider it comfortable or uncomfortable? I know it's a small sports car, But could it be used for small trips? And lastly, is the bike explosive in terms of power, I mean is its takeoff very strong or is it progressive? I previously had Suzuki sv650s (72hp) and this 500sr Voom has 77&83 hp with ram air. Do you think it's worth it for me who uses it daily and travels constantly? I also saw leaks of the 675nk motorcycle, a naked one also interests me for everyday use. I would really appreciate your response, seriously ❤️👍 good video
@@TheBlackSheepBoy Yes! It’s coming in October, the price is 41,50rmb/5,830$ the test ride model should be available in the very beginning of October, and I hope to get my bike in the second half of October
@@TheBlackSheepBoy the price is crazy) Honestly I think this time it should be very close, coz the price in the US has been announced earlier than in China, who knows maybe they release them at the same time!
@@eddywave3315 Thats insane. I hope you could do videos on like, what the motorycle industry and community is like over there! It seems a lot of people are in the dark about it. Companies like CFmoto appear to be very receptive to community feedback in the way it develops its products. Your area looks pretty nice too!
I like it - some Suzuki "slabbie" vibes in this bike and a throwback to my childhood... I believe that were you to remove traction control completely, you could just about match the Ninja's acceleration.
Honestly I don’t think TC kicked in, it’s just this power band, it’s hard to launch for me, today I’ll release another video, 0-100 acceleration was better in it😏
I would like to see them release the blue one here in the states. We’ll probably never get it though. It will be basic black/white and substantially more expensive if we get it at all.
Now that looks interesting for me, as i have a katana 250 4cyl that revs to 15.5k rpm :p the only thing putting me off is the mirrors mounted on the cli-on, i wish they were on the front fairing
If this bike has an NK version in the future, I would buy it, but I would also appreciate it if it were as is in the 90s style. maybe with a round headlight something like what Kawasaki z900rs did. I want a motorcycle suitable for everything, but I think that this model is unfortunately not for me and that affects me emotionally.
There's lots of comments on here about wether this fabulous bike will make it to Australia and I think, unfortunately, the answer is going to be NO. CF have been struggling to move the NK800 (a massive shame as it's a great bike) and 95 % of their sales are for the 450 twin range. The other problem is the Australian market is tiny relatively speaking.
