I’ve been watching CF Moto lately. Never heard of them until about a year ago. As far as Dirt Trax videos go. I always find them informative and very useful. Thank you guys for what you do. It would be a dream job for me
Great walk around review....will patiently await DTTV's ride review. We've had these in the states since early July. To my knowledge...i bought the very first one in all 50 states. Took ownership on July 3rd. Machine just turned 400 miles and so far this has been an awesome buggy. On paper I will agree 79 hp is a number that looks under powered....until you drive it and realize its a mini rocket from 0 to 60. After that it runs out smooth and limits out at 75. Where this machine really shines is in the trails. The rear suspension in particular is above anything else I've ever ridden in. Its stable....smooth and doesn't hop around everywhere like rear independent suspensions on other machines do. Every other complaint or issue on previous CFMoto models has been addressed on this machine. The air filtration system is by far the largest improvement. No more squeaky brakes, less heat in the cab...and shifting between gears is much smoother and snag free than prior zforce machines. The biggest asset on this machine is the ease of location access to do routine maintenance. The dipstick and oil filter canister are out in the open.... and removing and cleaning the air filter is much easier than other CFMoto machines. My first oil change took me literally 15 minutes...would have taken 10 but I had to measure out the oil. Overall this is an A- machine...and a minus given only due to lack of accessories. Thoroughly impressed and happy with my purchase.
Just picked mine up last week. So far seems to be excellent. I agree on the HP. It feels like a lot more than 79 HP. Hopefully @Dirt Trax TV can get confirmation that is rated at the wheels and not at the crank. Other youtube channels have stated this is the case but I would like to know for sure.
I knew nothing about CFMOTO until I started watching some of your reviews...took a test ride in my first one because the information in your video's made me feel these are not cheap stuff that risks a lot of issues. Thanks for all the info you provide...it has been helping me narrow down what I want to buy.
I have reviewed this model at local dealership and I truly like the features. Your review is dead on with all that CFMOTO offers. They put a lot of time engineering their products and keeping things simple and easy to maintain plus work on the units. We too have the roof and mirrors here in the US. as a standard. Thank you for the video and explaining the front to back designs, folks who don’t know much about CFMOTO are alway asking me if they can test drive my equipment and when they are going through the trails, they always give a thumbs up, guessing they are surprised on how well build these machines are. I went with a few friends to Busco Beech NC. and my machine stayed up with all of the brand names everyday. Whatever they went through, my CFMOTO did too with no issues. They are also really surprised on the cost for all that we get as a standard. Hopefully you have a few more long term reviews for this model, say after 1 year. Thanks again for the awesome video
I like that you are giving CF Moro a fair shake. They are always dismissed around these parts but they seem to be putting out a good product for the price.. no need for unwarranted haters especially if the machines are working well.. can’t wait to see how it actually performs..
My sister in law asked me to research a side by side for trail riding. Glad you are doing a review on the CFMOTO it's the one I am leaning towards to recommend to her. Hopefully yall give it a thumbs up.
Was just recently at my closest CFMoto dealer this past week this is a really nice well built and sharp looking unit! I love my current Zforce 500 HO. Rumor has it there is a 950 EX version coming in the future that is 65" wide. BTW that switch is for Override for extra power for rev limiter for reverse or 4x4 locking diff.
I have one of those and I absolutely love it. Cf moto has really stepped up their game. I couldn't be anymore pleased with it. Thank you for the video . Stay safe and God bless.
Back in November I bought a 2019 cforce 800 had no issues and have put it through its paces. I have a need for speed. I wasn't really impressed with the 800 zforce compared to what's on the market. This 950 is a game changer, I want one so bad. I like to be different. I get alot of comments on the ATV, but now it's time for a sxs. If I didn't have payment s on ATV I would have put my order in for one😁. Very impressed with cfmoto so far.
I am very happy to see that CFMOTO has its own design concept and its own innovation. It has not followed the route of copying cars like most Chinese brands. Low labor costs give CFMOTO an absolute advantage in price in the Canadian market, and more market competition is an absolute good for consumers. As a Chinese, I chose Polaris instead of CFMOTO when I bought Side by Side a few years ago because I know that the motorcycles sold by CFMOTO in China are cutting corners. However, this video showed me a brand new CFMOTO and also verified that the foreign trade version is better than the domestic version. I will continue to follow this channel, hoping to have a long-term evaluation of CFMOTO
CFMoto is improving. The "doors" are a negative. What can be done to fill in? The cage... is a death cage. We dune BIG. That cage design is a no go. LOVE the parking brake. My Can Am only has park. Travel is lacking. More players in the industry are better than less. They are getting better. Glad Dirt Trax is covering budget brands.
Great and honest video. I just bought a used 2021 Z950 with only 350 miles. As you probably know by now that the lower rocker switch is not a headlight flasher but an override switch to the restrictive governor to the front lockers.
I have had issues with my zforce 1000 since I purchased it in summer of 2019. (1400kms on it, Full service at 1000kms at dealer) I had problems with it losing all power and stalling out at totally random times... Brought to the dealer and they couldn't find the issue, I replaced the plugs with expensive high-end plugs at my expense and it made it better but not 100% fixed.. The transmission was jumping out of gear (BADLY) and not fully engaging (qualified for a recent recall) which I had every intention of bringing it in for that. Just recently after a 3-4 hr trail ride it lost engine power and overheated badly losing its coolant out the overflow on the side of the road on my way back to my cottage. I towed it back to the cottage and it sat there for 2 weeks before I was able to get it to the dealer for service. The dealer had it for a few weeks called and told me they weren't sure what was going on and the oil looked fine, asked me if they could tear it apart further to investigate... Recently I am told that due to some evidence of water being inside the motor that it will not be fixed under warranty. IF water had gotten inside to cause a engine failure should the oil not be evident of that as well?? Would not advise buying anything from CFMOTO.
I have always been a Kawasaki fan but my wife’s uncle absolutely loves his CFmoto side by side. He has never done a thing to it and many of his buddies have bought them from his recommendation. The Japanese manufactures haven’t always made a good product like they do now. I believe we will see more and more products come from China with excellent build quality. Time will tell how they do but if they keep building better and better products they will succeed in the US. Let’s just hope they hold up resale value wise. Dirt trax I rarely miss an episode. Thanks for the walk around videos. What would be nice to see is some 1 year of ownership videos with likes and dislikes from subscribers. Thanks again.
Really great review, I'm not even a newbie in this sport yet, I'm 56 and have rented Razors 2 times now and loved it, also want to hunt Coyotes with it before I get much older and really been trying to study hard on all the makes models, the haves and have not's the do's and don'ts, really don't want to spend 20k on a toy I wont use a lot and this seams to be a more reasonable price than 20k for me. I'm no looking to go barreling through rocky hills etc. Just want something to have fun in that's safe and reliable and no going top cost more than my truck :) looking forward to more info from you! Thanks
Keep up the great videos, and I believe in features for the price offered does play a big part. Not everyone can afford the turbo razor or turbo maverick. I've been a dirtwheels fan since the late 90's I remember the Yamaha wolverine build from back in the day you guys took the cylinder off the Kodiak and bored and stroked it up to around 500cc. That would still be a nice machine to build even today. Also looking back at the turbo banshee. Went from 35 rwhp to 115 rwhp is just crazy on that build. Anyway keep up the good work and videos. 😉
My husband bought a zforce 950 last month.. I have to say it is a great ride!!! This Cfmoto handles awesome especially on rugged trails!!! I’ve been taking videos of our travels... it also rips around in the sand pitt... nice walk through you did and honest review!! Thanks 😊
I love how CFMOTO is pushing the limits and offering more for the dollar. I hope it will intimidate the competition. Competition is good for the consumer. Thanks for doing what you do at DT!
I had bought a 2015 CFMoto Uforce 800 and have taken it on many trails from NC to AZ, on the Navajo Reservation where it preformed amazingly and impressively in the high altitude and wilderness of the high and very untamed parts of Northern Arizona. It impressed others who had question of it's efficacy in rugged conditions. It's about time for an upgrade and I'll be taking it on an elk hunt to Colorado this next year.
Please do a full like half hour review of this. I am sometimes disappointed when we get a 5 minute full review of a machine. We want to see it all and watch it getting put through the test. Love the channel and keep up the amazing work.
Thanks! Lots of the TEST RIDES are timed to fit into a TV schedule, but we've been doing a lot more of these RU-vid exclusive videos to provide you with more information. We'll continue to evolve the format.
from way up North Ontario Under The Big Nickel. Just recently purchased CF Moto 500 Trail. No major issues with the unit. your reporting on Cfmoto is one of the reasons I chose to purchase one. Keep up the good work love the show and these videos.
Hello there!!! Excellent Review, you always give us smart comments.. i wished my RZR XP would come from factory at least with 25% of all this features that are extras from factory. I have seen some CF Moto SXS here, I really don’t know about the quality ??? People have many different opinions, mostly bad ones, but in looks this model really looks cool...!! For a 60 inch unit it’s super cool and I Guess it’s going to be a strong competition for Polaris and Can Am. Keep enjoying your Canadian Summer, you looked like you were here in Costa Rica at the beach.. Please keep social distance and watch out of Covid
We are going to be picking up our CFMOTO ZFORCE 950 EPS SPORT in the morning . We have heard a lot of GREAT things about and can't wait to get it home and put on some miles (er kilometers)
I've been paying attn to cfmoto this season in both the atv and utv. They seem to have uped their game and are coming for a big market share. The consumer will win out
Cf Moto's are interesting and seem to be a great Value. My problem is that their dealer network is not great in my area. There are no full service dealers within 100 miles, making it difficult to choose a CF Moto.
I'm new to the sxs world. I m now more interested in a Cfmoto then ever before. You did an awesome job on the info of the unit and kept it enjoyable. Thank you.
I watched a couple videos on this model. The hp rating. The cfmoto has a couple more hp than its polaris counterpart. Polaris takes their reading from the output section of the engine where cfmoto is a Bhp reading. That's why in other videos its able to keep up or surpass the polaris
I've been looking very closely at the cf motos the only down fall with them is the horse power. If they could keep the price point where it is at but increase that horsepower by at least 30hp to contend with the big 3 polaris can am kawi they would become the next big boy on the block and take so much following away from the other brands because with the other brands with that much add on your looking at 30k easy which is unreasonable to average people who like to ride and want to bring the family with them
The more I see these, the more I like them. I have already seen guys running 32 inch tires with no lift. This machine looks awesome with bigger rubber under it.👍 Love the videos you guys put out .... keep up the good work!
I just bought one and I agree, looks like a pick up truck without a bed. I did order the rear trunk box. It's a needed add on but really fills that area and completes the look. Now waiting for a snorkel kit to delete the factory intakes. The machine goes really good, stock set up is stiff but easy to adjust. Out of the hole its as quick as the other 1000 non turbos. It doesn't have the top end but for me 0 to 45 is 90% of my riding and it pulls hard to 45mph.
My zForce 800 EX has the same lock and ride rack but I have not found anyone selling a box or cooler that uses the system. I simply bought a Rigid tool box and strap it down.
I dont think so because there's a video of a cfmoto with an exhaust upgrade and tune and it went up like 10 hp but the rear wheel hp after tune an exhaust was like 69
No they don’t. That’s a lie that’s been going around for years that apparently is taken at face value with no proof. This is directly from Cf Moto last year when I emailed them: “Thank you for contacting CFMOTO-USA. The horsepower is measured directly at the crankshaft.” Also FYI Elka doesn’t make the shocks for Cf Moto either, since I’m dispelling old wives tales...
Nice job on the walk around DT. I have a couple of 4wheels and a 800s. Very nice to see Cfmoto come along way with the 950 in chassis and overall finish. And thanks to you guys
CF Moto always the best bang for the buck and a great warranty to boot. Would love to hear more from owners and high mileage dependability of the brand. Thanks Luke for keeping it real.
@@dirttraxtv I have a 2018 zforce 1000... also a total POS... motor spun a rod bearing at 1400kms and just over a year old... "Great Warranty in Canada" thats laughable at best... They don't honour their warranty at all!! I am left with a 1yr old machine that doesnt run and they wont fix it. They claim due to water intrusion in motor yet the dealer told me the oil looked clean when he called to ask my permission to open it up to investigate further! CFMoto basically told me to hit the bricks when I pleaded with them to fix it... Biggest regret of my life buying this machine.
The casual overview videos are great! It's hard to fit everything in the test ride segment on the show and the overview is great for seeing things up close and the more off-the-cuff commentary! Keep up the great work!
I've driven one around the parking lot just to bring it over to another building. Since I ride atc's and atv's every day I'm not sure if I can divorce the looks from the ride in such a short amount of time. Can't wait to hear your impressions wringing it out on the trails so my next opportunity won't be wasted. Thanks
As someone who works with can ams, I believe you just sold me on the new Z-Force! They look so sick, the front end reminds me of a great white shark for some reason 🤷🏼♂️
Hello, from Utah! where everyone is rocking all kinds of outdoors utv(s). Keep up with the great reviews. I am always checking out the vids for the insight, this is my first time commenting.
CF Moto has come a long ways and now seems to be a real contender for the big boys in this market space. I'm really impressed and look forward to the on trail review!
I love this new look. This new model was not yet out when I purchased my zforce 800 trail model in July...I am a bit jealous of the design. Remember that for HP cfmoto measures this differently than most so it may appear like its underpowered-just take one for a test drive and you'll see how well they perform. CFmoto really does include lots of goodies like the winch, doors, mirrors, etc. (btw, I did add a dash mounted winch switch which was easy). I am told that cfmoto has been making ATV OEM parts for "everyone else" for more than two decades so they seem to know what their market is demanding. Thank you for this well done overview.
I love CF MOTO! I think they make a quality product at a affordable price. I've been watching your show for long time now and I'm always excited to see a new episode. Keep up the good work and God bless you all and your family's. Stay safe.
Its a machine that appears in pics and vids differently, Its changed a few opinions once they've seen it in person. Ive got 150 miles on mine only in the sand dunes so far and its impressive in that sport (BEAST) mode👌 Also the dash is light sensative so at night the dash has a black back ground so its easy on the eyes and the button you didnt know what it does its a over ride for reverse and difflock for rev limiter. Great job! Cant wait to watch the ride report!
Love watching these honest first impressions. It's great to see you guy's add dislikes along with your likes. It brings a real, honest and helpful perspective to all of us who love this way of life. As always, great review and can't wait for the test ride
Really enjoy the show, we are researching for a new purchase in the spring and your reviews have really been a useful tool for us . Cfmoto has definitely caught our attention!!
I own a zforce 500 (your review was very helpful by the way thanks) and have had no issues. I do believe they are going in the right direction as far as build quality etc, but the styling may be a bit radical for us "like what we know" North Americans.
I won the CFMOTO Hot Ride contest and got to take the Z-Force 850 out for a good rip in Arizona a couple years ago. Wish they would have come out with a 4 seater because that's what I would have bought. Features for the cost is what sold me. This machine looks good, but I bought a Yamaha Wolverine X4 SE for the 4 seats.
Very impressed, I saw this Z950 at our local CF Moto dealer a week ago and heard it run. They said it was priced at 19k plus tax Great price and a head Turner as well. Be interested to hear your review Luke on the ride test when you do that. keep these videos coming guys, I wait for them, so weekly would be nice.
I’ve owned a wildcat 1000x and now Currently on my second Zforce 800ex, maybe a 950 sport will be in the garage someday. I appreciate your reviews and honesty on products throughout the SxS industry.
Thanks for the video on this machine! It was really informative! I’m going to buy on of these machines tomorrow so the information and description on this machine made me feel better on my decision to buy this machine!
Looking forward to your full review! Not everyone needs or wants to spend a years pay on a side by side. Hoping it’s quality is as good as it value appears to be. Love the channel and all the open and helpful reviews and feedback. Keep it coming.
I have never heard of cfmoto until about March or April 2020. So when I went cabining in May in Mio Michigan I went to the cfmoto dealer and talked with the owner and was blown away by the cfmoto utv, sxs and quads. As you stated in this video the quality seems quite good and the machines look good. I can't afford one but cost and standard equipment sold me on these machines. I can't wait to see you beat and rip on this.
