I use 40+ years old, aged Madake Bamboo harvested in Japan by teacher, Kinya Sogawa.
I handcraft all the traditional way I learned from him.

I don't know what it is about shakuhachi that are in A, but they all have me falling in love. This one that you've made and shared here makes me smile. The sound is warm, round, and has all of those fine subtleties found in a good shakuhachi. Someone will be fortunate to receive and play this gift. Thank you Kyle.
