Your transparency around your fear is very welcoming. In a sport where everyone is either "hardcore" or nothing, I applaud you for being different. Thank you for being a long this ride with the GGC, looking forward to many more years of awesome.

Seriously enjoyed the video. I've struggled on and off with back issues since I screwed mine up while deployed in the Marines. It really is a mental thing.. knowing you're feeling good.. but that internal fear scratching at the back of your mind. You're strong as fuck man.. I wish you all the success and positive results possible.

Super fun to watch, and always interesting to see your weightlifting heroes be vulnerable about their insecurites. I'm just now dipping my toes into the waters of "intermediate" and if anything over 250 pounds is on my back, my brain starts freaking out. I can do it, but I'm scared. Nice to see that CWS feels that too.

@@JuggernautTrainingSystems For sure! This past month, I gained a pound of muscle, bumped up my squat and bench, and finally completely swallowed my ego. I've been so goddam gungho that it took me this long to accept that I can improve without going to failure each workout. And hey, I don't feel nearly as beatup/hurt/rundown. So, yah. Thanks for the videos. I'm sure it's hard to find different ways to convey the Scientific Principles, but in my case it took like, the 37th video and a lumbar strain until I said "fine, I'll chill out." So thanks. :) Happy turkeyday

I sympathy with you about your spine pain. I think I had similar issue (or perhaps even more serious). I understand the fear, probably it will stay with you forever. I am not a native English speaker so my writing skills are not perfect. Osteopath at the beginning of my injury told me that I should walk, because it is good for spine. I remember the pain. I wish you the best. Lot's of health. Be very patient. Sincerely yours, Marcin

Chad, hey! Why do you raise your head in the moment you bench press? Is this your individual difference or is it better for everyone to do so? I rest on my neck when I press, should I keep doing that?
@JuggernautTrainingSystems
@JuggernautTrainingSystems Год назад
Definitely individual, at this point just habit. I think I started doing it because my shoulders were tight
