PATCH NOTES: the roof bunker is patched in the January 2021 update. As a quick workaround for the inner bunker, you can leave the foundation wood and hatched it out every time you want to unseal the base, as shown in the Serenity ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-26_1JfhBPC0.html
ther its still posible the roof bunker just now u cant place 2 roofs on same fondation but u can rise the fondation on the right side of the roof and add the roof twig ther to open the bunker
@@gelu010 I am not sure whether the solution that you describes works. However, I will release a short video on my second channel [ru-vid.com/show-UCFGrH31pSl84vnyeosLwkPA] where I'll show a few workarounds. It should go live on Thursday, right after the update
I was telling my co-designers that we are making a base "for people with a playstyle like Trausi". I never imagined that it could be the *actual* Trausi! I am honoured!
Thank you for appreciating this! And still, I am getting comments from people who complain that I don't upgrade everything to its final tier immediately ... as if you would start out a wipe with 200 HQM and garage doors
Ye i love the progression bit as well, makes for a realistic build in vanilla servers, as the steps make it crystal clear about how to proceed with the upgrades. Really well done.
@Evil Wurst I figured out a solid way to add 2 extra floors (beds/living space and a shooting floor) without compromising any of the raid cost. Implemented one of your classic autoturret pods and a nice compound to prevent any doorcamping. Pretty good route if you're too lazy to move from your base. Needed this design so badly thnx fam!
Also! My brother just had his first baby yesterday. He's such a proud Papa, and i get the same vibes from when you first announced your little one. Hope all is going well for you
Not only a fantastic base, but the presentation and editing are top-notch. Stellar job detailing the instructions and showing the options available throughout the build. Thank you for the opportunity to assist in its development, Evil!! 👍
The most creative part about this is being able to have an attic for extra loot storage without affecting raid cost at all, because of the roof bunker. It's so good because chadding out of a 2x2 is great until you run out of loot space and need to expand/build another one. I also love the little flex with clipping the shotgun trap into the tier 3 I hope everything is still going good with your kiddo, i'm still amazed you have the energy to put out quality videos like this. The little things like the door opening to an optimized loot room are still "oooh, ahhh" experiences to me. Super satisfying to watch. Keep up the good work super-dad!
Thank you for the kind message! My secret is that I was on parental leave until yesterday :) I hope things are fine with your little family as well! And I am sad to see that you decided to leave EZ Building again, but I respect your decision.
The amount of time and effort invested in these vids is incredible. And that’s without even counting the fact that Evil’s a dad now. Can’t wait to use it on my next wipe. As always, great job, Evil!
Can finally say I have been in an Evil Wurst video now lol. I enjoyed giving out feedback for this project a lot, and would definitely be up for giving more on future builds. Also nicely done with the editing for this video Evil.
I don’t know if this will be seen, but I wanted to say I really appreciate the quality of your videos. The obvious time and effort you put in creates a very clean, professional video. Keep it up, you’re the best!
Who wouldve thought that this 2x2 design is impressing me the most so far from all ur videos. fits perfect to a more aggressive/casual playstyle, perfect for endgame, super easy to build. Editing always top notch, i cant watch any other basebuilders because u set the ceiling too high :D. 5/5
Dude you really do great work here, love the videos. One tip for super storage that I have never seen anyone use, you can place 2 small batteries and a small box under a t2, so if you need a simple circuit for lighting or space heaters it is a really nice fit, just place the batteries before you place the box.
Beautiful build. I can't wait to try it out as a solo (love the idea of the roof access/shooting floor - might even add a helipad to the top) Hope you and the new family are doing well!
I have been using this build for a few days and its perfect for me. As a solo I'm always getting offline raided, and this bunker has so far stopped 2 this wipe :) Thanks Evil Wurst!
Great content as always! A few notes: The main loot room should perhaps have the triangle shelf the other way? That way if the base is raided and TC destroyed, the TC can be replaced in the same spot. Otherwise it would be blocked by the roof. Perhaps also add a note at 4:09 that the boxes in the loot room need to be placed at that time, before adding the roof, since the roof will block optimum box placement.
as a solo player i dont want spent a lot of time to farming ressources and build a big juicy base for raiders so this strong little base is exactly what i was looking for and tried to do. thx for this and all your tips !
That interior roof bunker 7:25 can be hit with splash damage from the side and roof too, not just the twig one. Really needs to keep the two raised foundations on that side for protection from easy raids. Same to protect the roof bunker corner on the roof with this build, you'll need half walls and a roof on top to cover that corner of the bunker sticking out.
Yes, that's why the roof is upgraded to armored as well. This creates a raid path of 15 + 3 + 3 +3 = 24 rockets to TC. Earlier designs had an oil refinery in front of that roof to prevent it from being a weak point. I preferred this (upgraded to armored) solution over adding those raised foundations, because it made the base look unbalanced and ugly.
" i hope you found this video helpful " he says ... love all of your base designs buddy, and your step by step in building is 100% spot on ! thank you !
In all my hours in rust you are truly my favorite rust youtuber you were the one who inspired me to get into rust base building even with wurst jr the quality of you videos never cease to be top notch :)))
Epic chad build wurst! I like the bunker entrance, i used a similar entrance style in one of my builds from last month! Finally joined ur discord too btw :3
Well, as I said in the other video a while ago,the honeycombing is most weak at its side where the two honeycombing meet. This makes the raid cost one wall cheaper than as if they were to raid from the directly from the side if you dont add another layer of honeycomb. Other than this, great work with the design
For the unlootables I beleive you can just softside the floor tile above and if there's no more honeycomb above, you gain access to it. Still I think this has to be the best base, and tutorial, for someone looking for a perfect simple base, for classic rust gameplay. Wurst always think about the player more than any builder and you can feel that in his bases ^^
Yes, you can soft side that floor tile. That, of course, assumes that the raiders brought a sufficient amount of jackhammer and patience, and it’s certainly more painful for them than just having the boxes out there in the open
@@EvilWurst Those raiders would def be hungry ^^ Not that the atic design is bad, I'm more saying it for someone that might run into something like this, just so he knows that he can softside it if he seeks for more loot :) Ty for your answer, you're job and presence are great for the community
I have to say, I've build all of your bases that you released in past year :) from solo/duo to clan bases. Love your vids and ideas you come up with, never was disappointed in any of the builds and there were only few things that I had to adapt to my needs :) efficient and cheap, that's how we like it :p
The armored triangle foundation for the inner roof is exposed allowing you to bypass the outer roof, you can simply destroy the foundation and walk under the roof into the core then destroy the 2 remaining doors to the tc making the entire cost roughly 17-19 rockets.
One of the best builders on Rust your videos never cease to surprise me ! Could we get like a good solo duo trio base for maybe like a 5x or 10x something absurdly honeycombed.
one small issue is that one could blow through the elevated foundation next to the bunker roof to immediately access the bunker, just needs extra honeycomb there and you're set :)
I also noticed that you don't need to seal away the foundation from the inside and you can place a flame or autoturret there, also creates a hole you can throw wood through
Yes, you can go through the raised foundations. You are still faced with 3 garage doors = 9 rockets to TC, for a total of 24 rockets. And yes, adding a raised foundation fixes that. However, gave the base an unbalanced look, so I just propose it in the video, but didn't include it in the final design.
@@EvilWurst gotcha, ty for the reply! love the content and the base designs, are we gonna see any new designs with that triangle roof bunker you showcased on your second channel?
Love this base. We build multiple ones and upgraded one to full HQM in a vanilla server. Was a blast. Will build on this wipe today again. Best basebuilder :)
Based on the Sanctuary build this is only a 19 rocket raid. 8 for the back, 8 for the sheet wall behind the tier 3 and 3 rockets for both garage doors.
@@EvilWurst Right except I found that being careful with the rockets allowed me to splash damage the perpendicular garage door before opening the core thus saving me 3 rockets. Ill have to try it again to see if I can replicate it.
I thought so too, but then, this bunker is not as strong as it seems IMO. My intuition tells me that the devs will keep an eye on it, and if this bunker becomes a pandemic, they might patch it.
Could you do a survival video or serie? I really want to see you build one of your bases on an official server where you have to improvise very often. PS if you want this channel to be a tutorial-only channel you van make a second channel for survival videos. PPS good video.
I just became a father. Since today, I am also back to work. I even have trouble time to just answer the comments ... it's just nowhere near realistic for me to play a serious wipe & turn it into a video
The idea is to leave it open. In most raid scenarios, raiders will "auto close" it with their explosives. And if that does not work, there is still the shotgun trap. I would still close it when I log off, though
