You make sure it's over the phone or via a video conference so that the other person cannot put physical hands on you in the moment that you insult/upset them. After that you just hope that you picked a fight with a person who is rational enough to quarantine their flash anger and dispose of it immediately. Otherwise when you do eventually run into them in person, they'll make you pay for your stupidity.

💯 I was about to make a comment the same insights you have. It’s like one is arguing about Plato and the other about Socrates, but none of them would agree about how the other argues for his respective philosopher. But Ariel was very provocative, even asking Chael to grow a pair. Chael even had the courtesy to apologize because he wanted to leave.

Good comment! Ariel's point is that it's a different paradigm than the profit model the west has for fights-- it's more like a tourney sponsored by the king. He just didn't manage to articulate that. So many times Chael put his other more popular ties aside to show loyalty to his friend. Chael is a tough guy. One of the baddest dudes to walk the face of the earth. That tough guy helped Ariel get through some tough times and kept Arial relevant... and kept from getting the brakes beat off him multiple times. It was low class for Ariel to say stuff like "You don't have the balls to say that to my face". or "That's a Bitch Move".

@@calvinmiguel4405the point Chael never got to complete is that since Francis can't sign a multi fight deal in boxing, it will be difficult to get a top boxer to agree to fight him. They now see the danger in fighting Ngannou and will demand a rematch clause that Francis is in no position to sign. Same reason the WBC didn't put the belt up. If it was really because of his lack of pro record then they wouldn't have sanctionned it as a pro match in the first place.

I think you are being too generous Chael. He used his show as a vehicle to publically: embarrass, disrespect, and exploit his friend. The original intention may of been to just tease you and have some fun, but it escalated beyond that. I feel that as the host of the show, it was his responsibility to “deescalate”. He didn’t do that, he doubled down and made things worse. He invited you into his “house” and treated you horribly. Then when you said you had to leave, he said it was a “bitch move.” Then, instead of apologizing for his part in the interaction, he exploited how much exposure (views) the episode got. Friends don’t treat friends like that. My humble opinion. Love the show man!

I also believe that's where it all started. When I first watched the discussion, it seemed to me that Chael was going for a long shot confronting Ariel on the 10-20 million $ statement. I wasn't convinced that it was factually wrong there or that Ariel trespassed his duty as a journalist. At best the argument could've gone both ways, depending on how you see it. But on the other hand, I found Ariel's behavior extremely disrespectful towards Chael right at the beginning. He tried to humiliate his guest in a position where he was calling the shots on his own show.

Do you know what the word "humble" means? Do you watch enough of Chael's former fights and his commentary to have an accurate idea about the type of person that he is? Chael is a lot of things wrapped up into one. Ultimately in my opinion, he is an interesting character who often has a "take" or provides an insight that is "outside the square" compared to the bog standard, garden variety opinions that exist in this space. Chael is controversial, he's a loud-mouth and he is very sure of himself which is to say that he will back himself into an argument and that once the scrap has commenced, Chael is the type of guy who won't back down. I honestly don't know any other person who is accurately informed about the type of guy that Chael is who would concur with your opinion. Chael has way too much ego to ever be considered as "humble". Again I ask, do you actually know who Chael is and what he does because if you do then I would suggest that you seek medical attention as you may be severely concussed or suffering from some other medical condition that has turned your brain into mush.

in terms of who won the argument, at first I thought ariel did. However after the paperview numbers came out, it became very clear that ariel did lie about that. he purposefully used the passive voice "has been reported". When called out on it he argued that HE had reported it, however it's now clear that he was just pulling numbers out of his ass. So yeah, that's not "reporting on it", especially when you initially tried to obscure who the "reporter" was. Ariel 100% knows about passive and active voice, and 100% used the passive voice on purpose. He was being deceptive, got called out on it repeatedly, and in my view, got completely humiliated.

I really don't like when a bunch of people have the most logical opinion, and then when a huge upset happens, all the people who had the dumb opinion act like they were right the whole time.

Ariel absolutely shares opinions that he passes off as “news” when it comes to the UFC and Dana White. He dislikes Dana and it’s clear in his videos. If he were a straight journalist we wouldn’t know the disdain he has for Dana.
