@@ssueshil not everything is a condition, sometimes I like to also do this, it's more of a habit really, it can be relaxing - just look at one spot in front of you without a thought passing through your head

yeah, i think that's possible. i think it's pretty common with adhd especially. it may however be simply daydreaming or boredom, if that eases you.

I'm glad someone is thinking she may have some chemical imbalances in the brain. Cause rather than “zoning out” like everyone does, she's disassociating, which can be a sign of something being wrong.

@@getoverhereloser Absolutely, dissociation/derealization is a common symptom in many ailments especially mood and mental health disorders. I just hope it isn't anything severe that will cause problems in the long run. It took a while for my sister to get herself checked and get her anemia under control, then they found more than just iron deficiency during one of her check ups. She also zoned out a lot and I mean A LOT, she would cook and zone out for up to 3 to 4 minutes at a time. Doesn't seem like a long time but when you add up the amount of times she's has zoned out throughout the day it turns into hours, plus she almost burned the house down once because of it. She threw her cleaning rag aside and zoned out but didn't realize the corner of the rag was near the open flame of the stove.

@@roguex9469 With my own experience of dissociating, I'm glad it's never happened to me while I was cooking. Fortunately it mostly happens when I'm riding in the car with my family or in class. Occasionally mid conversation.

Sleep deprivation, ADHD, ADD, mental health issues, vitamin deficiency (iron specifically), derealization, dissociation, narcolepsy, some forms of epilepsy, and other health conditions can cause multiple episodes of brain fog or spacing out to occur. If it becomes severe then seeking medical treatment is highly adviced.
