I bought my 240 new in 1988. I've mowed, tilled and blown snow with it every year since. It still runs very well and is now 34 years old. It may be hard to find. But there is a lift assist for the snow blower that mounts under the right side. It makes lifting the blower quite a bit easier. Thanks for the video.
Do you know what the part number for that lift assist is? I recently bought one of these tractors used and I'm trying to get acclimated with it. Is there a way to make the snow thrower lift up higher? Mine only lives up about 2 in.
They are a great old tractor. They dont make them like that anymore. My only problem was the brakes. However I was able to build the cam up a little with weld and they work fine now. Very expensive to fix with parts. One thing that concerns me is the sound it makes when the pto is on. It sounds like a dry bearing. Never gave me a problem but it sounds worrisome..
Handy little fellow 👌 I have broken down TEF 20 1954 Standing outside.. Luckily we didn't get much snow, so I was saved by the weather guards this winter 😳 The front end pin is gone to shits, and I can't get the bolts off to change it.. Would be a shifty job if I broke all the bolts of the front end🙈 The bolts are almost as expensive as a rebuild front end 🤑 So I said to my self, calm down and let it be until spring😂
Can you please tell me what the Deere 'number' is on the oil filter? I'm trying to help an old gentleman near me, he has this older 240 & I'd like to order it online for him... thank you!
Is that lifter you hooked onto an extension arm from the main lifter that the yellow arms are connected to? I have the same mower and it does not have that lifter. Any help I’d appreciate
What’s this Randy riding tractor simulator 22😂 Make sure you use course play for your driveway snowblowing course or hire a worker that’s if you can find someone that actually wants to work👍 We are getting snow at my place now in southern Ontario. I use my new holland skid steer to clear snow in my driveway it’s not that long.
