Thank you so much for your tutorial! When I first tried this weave it was really difficult to understand what I was doing wrong, especially after you put it down and then come back to finish your project. I had never heard of the "Mickey Mouse" image!! Just wanted you to know you have definitely helped me and simplified for me a beautiful weave!! Bless you heart!! I really enjoyed listening to you and watching you weave. Thanks Again!!!

I would love to see some beaded chain maille tutorials. Your videos are great. I'm looking to make some bracelets with beads that are running along the side of the chain maille or dangling from the chain maille. I've made some caged beaded bracelets and I love to work with chain maille. I'm just starting to make my own rings so the info on ID, ED and AR are awesome. Thank you so much for sharing.

Hi Gail, I orded lots of rings so I can make some stuff, like this bracelet. I've also been doing some research. You use AWG, right? The website I orded my rings uses SWG. So all of the rings I ordered aren't really the right size. Do you think this will be a problem?
@beadedjewelrydiva
@beadedjewelrydiva 8 лет назад
+cherylvanputten Hi Cheryl -- it depends on which weave you are using. Some maille patterns have a wider AR range than do others. For example, Jens Pind has a very narrow AR range, while a 3-in-2 has a wider range. So, it really depends on the AR of the rings you purchased, as to what weaves you can successfully make. Hope this helps, and Happy Maille-ing!

Dear Gail, I must say I struggled to make this. 1 I am ambidexrous causing confusion in my brain regarding directional things. I can get lost at a drop. That was one reason to learn repetitive motion helps me. 2. Learniong a new skill is always fun and challenging. 3. I had eye surgery this morning. which helped me see better but last night was a disaster! Lamps, magnifying tools etc lol. I get the other eye done June 15 so I will see clearly. Lasik surgery often produces a film (long explanation) buiding up and it was so severe the doc explained he zapped me forty times today normally it takes five. It is a beautiful thing to see so I am not complaining I just was not driving, reading etc. I neglected to go back in a timely fashion because my husband had a serious illness and so I was busy. Anyway, not that you need to know this but it is an interesting point re Lasik surgery which is a wonderful procedure. Regarding my jump rings all 6,700 chainmail Joe one pound, I thoroughly enjoyed doing this project and ordered more in gold aluminum bag says 16 18 gauge. I have never made any jewelry before nor have I any idea re closures. Although I paint, sew, have a kiln and wheel and am very involved in art, jewelry is a much more precise skill that one cannot fudge. I am going to try to make another Europwean four in one and I will have to mark each row so I am not confused. Also, what I did was make units. Four at a timethen joined them it was easier for me. I want to thank you much for your inspirational video. I will have to see your web Hope there werent too manyh misspellings.
@beadedjewelrydiva
@beadedjewelrydiva 8 лет назад
Hi Martha -- even though you struggled with this, I am glad to hear that you were able to make it! And doing it in units is fine -- there is usually more than one way to do anything in jewelry. :) I've gotten rings from Chainmail Joe before a well; aluminum nice rings. Best wishes on the surgery on your other eye, and it will be wonderful for you to see well out of both. :)

Well, Gail, I have to tell you that your video is the most professional 4 n 1 weave I've EVER seen. I finally got the drift of way the rings are orientated, and how you have been detailed the way a ring is connected. Everyone misses which way the open ring is put through when adding on the sides. I always loved the 4 n 1 and it is comfortable to wear. Thank you so much for taking the time with detail.
