Couldn't agree more! Is it your only bike? I'd ridden mostly cruisers before this, and having a different style has got me wanting to try more and more.
@@thatoneguymoto It is currently my only motorcycle, but I have ridden multiple different ones over the past 16 years, Honda 600 F4i, Super Blackbird 1100xx, Suzuki Hayabusa, Harley Davidson Sportster, Road glide, but the KTM Super Duke R is still my my number 1 for a blend of overall performance and comfort. Have a blessed day T.O.G.
I think chain adjustment is way easier then my other bikes. No axle to break loose, no aligning, has marks to show you exactly how tight your chain should be. I love my KTM SDR
Good point. With an axle those markings are usually not that accurate so you never really know if you got it right. The single sided swingarm unless it is bent is going to be straight all the time keeping your wheels in alignment (one less thing to worry about that can cause a high speed wobble).
Thanks for the video! I just bought a 2014 superduke last weekend and I’m totally in love! I’m coming off an 03 R1 and a 2015 FZ09 but the torque this bike puts down is on another level! Going to check and clean the chain this week so thanks a lot!
I rode the FZ09 and really liked it, but the Super Duke has hands-down been my favorite motorcycle that I've owned. Thanks for watching and ride safe! ✌🏽
Thanks for uploading this I got a 2015 down here in Australia and my local dealer just shut down so there's no more KTM shops within 3 hours. I'll be doing all this next time i service it. I'm thinking of breaking the chain and installing a gold one. Keep uploading bro it's good.
Danger you should def clean both sides of rear disc with brake cleaner after you have cleaned and lubed the chain There will no doubt be some level of contamination after cleaning and lubing 👏👏👏👍
Thank you! Just bought a 2014 SDR and it needs a lot of maintenance before I can take it out. On the list is the chain, because it is WAY too tight. Also want to check/adjust valves (guessing it will be too tight on the intakes since it's hard to start cold) Wish someone had a really good tutorial on that.... Brake pads are nil. Coolant needs to change, and oil. Only 15,000 on it but so much to do!
