i came into this wiith no expectaions or ideas of what was t come. All i was ready to do was dance the dance, and by golly did i get to dance. Thank you Freeced for letting me get sturdy with Power.

so. it might just be that I listened to it on loop before. but I decided to learn the song by heart on a whim and only then did I realize how short it actually was. like under three minutes? two hooks with a single verse in-between? it felt so much longer every time I heard it. it felt like I was going on a journey on each listen, like an energetic road trip filled with the chillest (most threatening) vibes. and yet, it's so short, structurally. like, you've really packed a whole mood - a trance state in the midst of industrial machinery - and the story of a demon identified person just drifting through life not knowing what she's really trying for but loving every second of it. Into one song. It feels like waking up, doing a workout, going to the coal mine whistling a happy tune, getting deeply overworked while spending the whole time thinking about your next meal, and then going into the bathroom with a nice bag full of blood. And all of that in under three minutes. I just. This song is magnificent. It honestly captivates me in a manner quite similar to Ad Infinitum. Stupes absolute masterpiece of a [subscription only]. But like much less overwhelming. Just chill. Yet simultaneously violently hectic. But hectic in a way that has a certain stability to it, like a constant grind, like one of those games where you just repeat the same motion over and over. Or one of those jobs that have people just repeating one motion over and over. I guess it really does keep coming back to this industrial motif. Even though Power stands in the center of the song, the underlying tone really reminds me of how much pressure the capitalist conditions of Denji put him under. And at the same time how he and Power broke under those expectations learning to just accept that life is shit, and celebrate that shit. And as a consequence, this song truly uplifts and at the same time has a weirdly oppressive energy about it. But it's like. The latter isn't said out loud. It just feels hype at first, just the good old overconfident villain routine. And yet. The repetition. The way it's all actually being described. It's so much less focus on being the bad guy and so much more on just being over the inconveniences of being the supposed bad guy. which, from having watched the first 12 eps of the show. that just hits both their themes so well. But it just truly feels like the song doesn't really even try to crystalize it. Yet it's there. Plain and visible as you hear it but hard to grasp if you think about it. At least it took me a while to realize any of this. Honestly, most of it I only just did as I am writing this. Anyways, this song is phenomenal and I now have it looping in my head (consensually).

Great work with this. You are always making interesting and good content. That's just one of the reasons I like listening to your music.

This is probably just me but for whatever reason it reminds me of winding a Jack in the box

and that bass. that low sound that keeps going "dee-doo-dim". it just tugs at my abdomen. it feels weird. I didn't even notice it until listening for the instruments willfully. but it's so. yeah. it just makes the song feel a little bit uncomfortable. in a good way.
