Why is that the people (indians) who hate the country in which they were born( and even india is ashamed on them). They go and sh*t on these western stages but the people who actually deserve to be born in this beautiful country and they are proud of it, lack the chances and opportunities to describe the reality of this country that they see from their eyes. A lot of examples are there where an unfortunate, undeserving person from this country goes and cry over these western stages (one of the most recent is vir das) and they are promoted even in india. And there's one more speciality in these people that they have so much problems but what they contribute in resolving those is absolutely 0, what they have as a solution for it, nothing but they just stand there, sh*t there, get praised by some people(who also have 0 contribution in resolving any of those problems) and that's it. No one's there to put the correct facts there.

Absolutely commendable the speakers especially the Indians who know the reality back at home. You have the freedom of speech!

“India has been the most divided under his rule”. As true as this statement is, it isn’t in the taste the speaker has suggested. India is now divided because the elite and the rich are voicing concerns. Why are they voicing concerns? Because they are under threat. Why are they under threat? Because Modi is bringing in changes that are unfavourable to them. Why is it unfavourable to them? Because it is becoming increasingly difficult to sweep matters under the rug. Why do they want to sweep matters under the rug? To fill their pockets. And one man who isn’t allowing this is Modi. So what is India’s strongest point is also being harassed as its weakest link; community; melting pot, if you will. Hatred in the name of communism is being triggered by a lot of people other than Modi, even more so by the opposition. For the first time in history we have a leader who is staying true to his religion, isn’t fearful of coming across as a Hindu, who is practising the religion with a punch of zest. And people cannot handle this. That’s the only reason his enemies are trying to pinch a nerve there. Also, might I add that just because you state the obvious that you are in a foreign land since 20 years completely oblivious to ground reality does not make your proposition that bit profound. You are just trying to cover the moral high ground before someone else points it out. Come to India, travel from border to border and ASK the commoners who walk on the street - quaint businessmen, homemakers, heck, even the ones that sit on footpaths aimlessly passing time. No one is more educated about politics in this era than before. And people will answer you. And then you can make a proposition. Googling ‘points against Modi’ and gathering information by bought-over-press and other forms of media just makes this debate a lot more pointless. Also, I appeal to people from other countries who takes his word seriously just because he “presents” it well - India cannot be more in unison. Our press sucks, just like any other country’s (I would imagine). I am no Modi supporter or Modi hater but I quite clearly despise misinformed individuals who haven’t warmed themselves to the heat of ground reality. All I see in debaters these days are radicalism. Salman Khurshid is an epitome of this. Debates should be had in matters that actually would make a difference. Why would anyone hold a debate about Modi. Are you trying to say that Indians are stupid in re-electing Modi? Have you even glanced at the opposition? We always work with what we get. The jury’s still out on Modi in matters of governance because a 5 year period in a country as large as India’s is still very less. But the basis of arguments put forth in a ridiculous proposition, masked by ‘brilliant stage presence’ and ‘presentation techniques’ is quite clearly far from the truth. I applaud his confidence. The points that he put forth about Indian Modi Government about how social division , digitisation, economic policy, demonetisation and hatred has set in was fine. He could have elaborated with some strong framework to support. That is very true that everything digitised and many lack access to digital facility makes no sense of online promotion . When demands are laid, then government has to facilitate the same. Online education was brought into force during lock down, why didn't they provide free network facility for teachers, demands have to be facilitated. All teachers shelled out from their own pockets to teach n didn't get paid also for those months properly. Plastic ban is eco-friendly but what is the substitute of plastic? Just Banning but what is the substitute element, it makes no sense.

I strongly object to the opening speeches of both sides where they hurtle personal insults on opposition. This is Oxford, a reflection of colonialism and Monarchs.
