Love to see the younger generation get into Chaka Khan. She has an amazing range and is one of the best singers ever. She has so many songs but the ones I would recommend are: Through the fire, - I Know You, I Live You, I feel for you, Tell me something good.

I ran into Ms. Kahn at Ultimo boutique on Oak Street in Chicago. She was tiny, friends with the owner and she knew what she liked. Years later, she opened the Sunset Junction street fair in LA when I got to stand in front. When Hurricane Chaka opens her mouth to sing, you’d better grab onto something! She has fantastic vocal beauty and power, as well as confidence and personal charisma.

Yes! Do more Chaka! My two favorites are 'I'm Every Woman's and 'Tell Me Something Good' when she was with Rufus. Any others would be additional icing on the cake.

Beginning at approximately 3:35 of your video when Chaka Khan starts to turn up her vocal voltage, I can feel the joyful bliss you're experiencing from Chaka's vocal talent, Lizzie. P.S., You're in for a real treat when you hear Chaka Khan's music from the 1990's. She just keeps getting better as the decades pass. A wonderful woman vocalist is Maysa Leak. I've recently been listening to "The Bottle" by Maysa back to back because she sings beautifully.

I know you listened to Chaka Khan's range and vocal skills, Lizzie. I can't put any of her songs higher or lower on the list of her songs. However, I will suggest "Move Me No Mountain" and her unique (grown woman) recording of "Got To Be There" (Michael Jackson 1971 release). And there's her Life Is A Dance: The Remix album with "This Is My Night" and "One Million Kisses" in particular. Chaka Khan has been asked which female vocalist she patterned her singing after. Some of the greats of that time the interviewer suggested were Aretha Franklin; of course, or Tina Turner. Chaka Khan answered that she practiced having the sound of Miles Davis' trumpet or John Coltrane's saxophone. And that's why she has always stayed active throughout the decades. Please excuse me for waiting until the end of my comment to compliment your 'Chaka Khan-like' hair, Lizzie. You look especially beautiful when you're listening to an amazing song!

Hi Lizzie, You & many other people probably don't know this fun fact: Chaka Khan's version of this song "What Cha' Gonna Do For Me" is an actual "COVER" and it turned out to be one of her greatest hits!!! The original was recorded & released in 1980 by the group called the "Average White Band" (AWB) they're from Scotland (not a troll, but true FACT) and the great Hamish Stuart (a.k.a the "white" Marvin Gaye) sang lead vocals on the original track and here is the Link: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-yEiYZIV8-pU.htmlsi=CaRpLJTGuR-_Rr7E AWB's original version is a silky smooth "VIBE" too!!!
