Jo Jo was spot on... here older wise person is giving a message to younger girl as he cleared in his interview with Amna after the shoot. Females in our society struggle a lot to meet their dreams. People start gossips which has usually nothing to do with reality. This is how so many young girls are scandalized in our society. Sajjad's advice is to get above these taboos and fly high. Very apt as he himself groomed his kids in music including Zaw, his daughter! Zulfi's concept and choice of Sajjad Ali for this song was on point.

Sajjad Ali is the most versatile singer I ve listened to in my life and probably is the reason he has survived for 4 decades in the industry. From ghazals, qawali, to rock, rnb n pop he has done it all.. won't be surprised if he can rap too 😂

Sajjad Ali ruled the airwaves in Pakistan in the 90s, he has settled into simple, sweet, melodious songs genre for the past decade or so but he used to be pretty experimental in the 90s era Pakistani rock/pop/classical/semi-classical scene.

It feels like the last two songs, O Yaara and Chal Chaliye were shorter than they could have been. The second artists were more like cameos in both and I’d love to have heard more from them. As always, love the reaction.

The dholki-type instrument with a tiny mic is called Dhugri. It looks like a dholki but is a string instrument. Both Dhugri and Mor Chung are being played by Lutaf Ali who also played Mor Chung in Ayi Ayi song.

This way, when you return after a long period, even though no one is there to welcome you with flowers, the flowers you left behind are there to welcome you back. In this video, the flowers on the door symbolize someone leaving everything behind for a crazy adventure

First of all, never stop making reactions because many are waiting for you to drop and have a different perspective. Its like showing our fav song to our friends. :) Coming to song Sajjad Ali is a genre in his own right. The vibe that only comes from his songs. Just seeing his last verse where he looks into the camera, gave me goosebumps. His entire history flashed in my brain "Chief Sahb", "Cinderella", "Sohni Lagdi" "Babiya", "Teri Yaad", "Chal Rain De" and so on.... Legend ruled the Pakistan industry for decades. Farheen nailed it as well and I agree her part felt too short. Lovely reaction Jyoti and Shrutz.

I can’t stop listening to all the new coke studio songs- and I’m someone who doesn’t like new music this easily 🙈 Each song is a powerful message ! So true to what we see around us and a way forward . I enjoy how you two comment - I only started watching you after the Xulfi interview- but I must say I was waiting for your review. I really enjoy how you try and go into tiny details . So well done both of you 👍

Forget Jaffer Zaidi, you need to ask Sir Xulfi about Sajjad Ali's hair care routine! Singing for more than 4 decades and his hair is ever so shiny. Great reaction but I feel the last two songs were missed opportunities at some level - too short! They make all the effort and yet making songs that barely run 4 minutes and giving one singer just four lines. I feel this is not feasible. Its like you start to enjoy the song and you already see the Coke Studio logo. I loved Coke Studio mainly due to the length of the songs where songs running 5-6 minutes were considered short. Just a thought! But keep shining you guys and dont let external winds drive your inner oceans.

I want you to react on all songs of Sajjad ali as he is the universe of music, you shouldn't miss his journey and the ideas he used in his singles were tremendous, he never cared about fame or popularity but he gave us real music. His famous quote was "I don't guarantee a hit song but I will guarantee a good song"

This song is really great and the singer is legendary as well "The Great Sajjad Ali", and Farheen Raza also done a fabulous job in this song. I am requesting to please make a reaction video on this song of Coke Studio 11 (Dildar Sadqay, Jawad Ahmad & Elizabeth Rai, Coke Studio Season 11, Episode 9). It is a very underrated song and like it so much, you guys will also enjoy it.

Hi guys. Loved your comments. Just wanted to introduce my take on it. You spoke about the train. I thought it was relevant to the song when it states “ do lineaan day wichkaar” which refers to the confinement of the two tracks of the train. The two lines. So the song says that doesn’t matter your restrictions and even while remaining fenced in by the two lines you are still able to move forward and cross the naddee. Basically don’t use your constraints as an excuse to keep you from moving forward.

Darkaar --- > Required; means you don't need anything particular. "Do lania de vich kar" ... means in between 2 lines of a train track. BTS most probably delayed in wake of tragic accident and death of Iranian President. Millions of Pakistani follow Shia sect of religion so to respect their sentiments.

When I watched this song for the first time all I could think about was the nostalgia that Sajjad Ali embodies for so many of us 90s kids. And the next thing I said to myself was that he never ages! How does he manage to look the same every time I see him, even though years have passed? There’s an innate humility and gentleness about him that’s so endearing. ps…I know this has been requested a few times before Jo but if you can, react to Atif Aslam’s new song, the OST for Gentleman. It feature the beautiful poetry of Khalil ur Rahman Qamar and the composition of Naveed Nashad.

I can’t help but be transported to a passed time. The lyrics and visuals personally remind of the 1947 partition and subsequent separation of lands, families, friends, cultures, and connections. The video depicts one relishing old memories but also gives one hope that now is the time to do something new. Im sure the song can hold many meanings but I can’t help but think of the pain of separation and the hope and promise that reunification can bring. ♥️🫱🏽‍🫲🏾

"CHIEF SAHAB" SAJJAD ALI is back on the CS platform with a bang. His ear-piercing, heart-wrenching sweet voice with a lovely smile has been constant for decades now. Initially to me it looked like they were talking about the partition with the pictures, the train, the time they have shown. And then the lyrics speak to a friend saying it’s enough the arguments between the two sides , let’s forget that and move on. Honestly the setup reminded me of my grandmas place from pre-partition time.

Good to see you guys happy happy! Spot On Shrutz! O Yaara and this song in particular doesn't lie in the Coke Studio Category. Definitely good songs but feels like something is missing. Yet I guess they want to keep all genre of music alive in one way or another. Mellow slow depressing songs or love song with a cultural touch & musical element.

Looks like It was a combination of Chung and Dugri. Chung is usually is played solo with mouth. Dugri is also a single instrument ... here one end is dugri while the other is like Chung.

First he is coming back to coke studio, so the train showing was a resemble coming back home, second he is coming to his old home and everything he sees there from where he started and where he is heading... So the meaning of all this is if i have done it u can also do it, dont listen to the noise make ur way and build ur own life on ur terms.. So from the window he is looking to the world

I’m beginning to miss the past iterations of CS that had more focus on vocals, lyrics, composition and particularly where we got to see the musicians performing. Nice song nevertheless, Sajjad Ali is definitely one those senior singers in Pakistan who has managed to preserve the vitality of his voice that usually and generally degrades with age, so kudos to him. But I do want to know who chose those shoes for him 😂
