Don't get washed away with feeling of false superiority complex,that's the reason bengal has doomed. Every society has some unique things, you just need to learn.
As I am a Bengali and watching this News. I really felt dishurtend somehow our traditions and historical art and culture is getting diminished by the fast forwarding changeable modern time. Even I also have experienced as a Painter that the only value is you get from the bookish knowledge or academics, I do support that but I also deep appreciation and veneration and support to them who devote their uncountable times to craft a iconic arts and paintings which leads our Bengali culture enriched with wonderful art and paintings. I have associated with paintings hence, I know what is the value of a artist ! ❤❤❤ Lots of love to you ঠাকুমা।

@@plusultra7258 yes youre very phobic, the history of durga puja and even the introduction of chalchittra, happen during the era of that one religion.. the potters, painters weavers of bengal were all famous and cared for during the era of that religion.. you will get to know it when you visit murshidabad and bhishnupur... obviously I'm not saying that the religion is superior. We need to remember modernity always kills traditions.. it just takes intrest to revive it
That was because the Mughals liked it. It was not introduced by the Mughals or during Bengal Sultanate. Many people in Murshidabad and Bishnupur earns a living through that. That is why they do. Many Muslims works in temples as well just to earn a living. News to you right? Seems like does not happens in Bangladesh for a very reason @@Adaxtum

Seriously what do we have to be proud of now? We still have the superiority complex that "what bengal thinks today, india thinks tomorrow" maybe that was the case 100 years ago. We had a glorious past. And surely we can take pride in that. But what do we have now? Bengalis were the ones to roar against british, against the injustice of society but bengalis now at best are spineless. We had such rich art, literature now we have none. There were so many great scientists and doctors from bengal now i don't even know if we have anyone pursuing to be scientist. Bengali cenema had a glorious time and now is nothing but a copy of south and overly political characters. A few years ago bengal was known for " women empowerment" and kolkata was called the "safest city for women" now shamefully we are stripped off of that too. So exactly do we have? No art, no science, no literature, no cinema no person. Nothing. So what are we so proud of? And if there's nothing to be proud of then it is not pride. It is arrogance
