I really like waakye. The first time I had waakye in Ghana a few years ago, it was served in a leaf. I loved it. I’ve since had it a few more times served in bowls or takeaway, and maybe it’s just in my mind but it’s just not the same.

let me clear this for the non-Ghanaians and those who doesnt understand Ga Language. SHITO is simply pepper in the GA Language. The Black one you people enjoy is called SHITO DIN. Which translate to BLACK PEPPER. i think the first person that commercialized it forgot to put the DIN to differentiate or the consumers didn't actually see or omit the "DIN" which means black. its soo wrong in GA language to term the black pepper, shito. you can simply call it SHITO sauce. THANK YOU

ACCRA and GREATER ACCRA is different. ACCRA is the capital town and GREATER ACCRA is the region. people just term GREATER ACCRA as ACCRA which is simply wrong cos there are difference. one is a subset of one
