I like your attention to detail of prep work. A childhood memory quote, "if it's worth doing at all, it's worth doing it right the 1st time." You certainly did it with gorgeous piece of furniture 😍. Thank you for all the information
I’ve learned so much from your videos in such a short time and I feel like I’ve watch a zillion others and I just wast getting it. The prep work was key!! Thank you so so much!!
Oh wow! That dent came out great. Fact, the entire bureau is stunning. I've often wondered about Etsy because sometimes Amazon is not all that. I think they may even be monopolizing industries and that is a bad thing so I'm grateful for the tip. Going to watch all your videos and will be looking for more.
Hi Amy another gorgeous flip, the details are spot o and live the colour , the colour you used on top goes beautifully with the transfer, truly a gorgeous piece, thanks for sharing all the best Mary in Australia 🌻
Omg! I am absolutely in love with your channel!! This piece is absolutely gorgeous!! I’ve wanted to do something like this for my daughter, Rose and this is beyond what I envisioned thank you for inspiring me!
I love this piece! You did a beautiful job!! I've done furniture "refinishing" for many years and have found that when I have a large repair like you did, I put some small (often tiny) finishing nails in place sticking out a bit. When you make the repair, the medium has something to stick to besides a smooth surface. To make it easier to put the nails in I hold them with needle nose pliers...it's far less frustrating. Thank you for sharing your projects!
Wow...You’re awesome! Such an informative video. I learned a lot! Tannin and bleed through issues....this is something I’m so grateful for learning how to approach. I’m an instant fan and new (forever) subscriber.
Beautiful and clearly the more prep work...the more the beauty shows. I just bought a dresser almost like the one you have here and have been wantingtorevamp it. Thanks for the ideas and sharing.
I like the transfers only on the front. Bravo job❗️I don’t have the patience as you do. But my dad always was a stickler about pre. I liked your mouse sander. 🤩
This is absolutely stunning!!! You did a fabulous job. Thank you for sharing your work. I continue to be inspired, and I'm really looking forward to trying my hand at a little piece to start. Thank you for stressing how important the prep work is. As a newbie, that is invaluable information. Thanks again!
Actually, I have a question. Do you think that a very small chest of drawers with no details on it is too big to be a first project? It's solid wood, has three drawers, and is 3 ft tall by 26 in wide, 22in deep. I'm thinking to just get some experience prepping and then maybe painting it. I'm not sure if I want to try stain right off the bat. 😬 thank you in advance for any thoughts you may have on this!
I think it’s a great first project! You can always paint over any mistakes. Just take your time and have fun with it. Focus on using your water mister and brush to eliminate brush strokes. Good luck and keep me updated!😊
Ugh the prep work. I totally agree - but it's not my favorite. Sometimes you think - "oh this just needs a little prep", and then two days later.... you're too sore to paint! It turned out great - I love the decision on the top!
Thank you! Hahaha right! I'm working on one like that today. It took all day and I'm still not finished prepping🤦♀️ can't wait to start painting it already 🎨😁❤️
I had to watch this video again as You're inspiration is going into a French provincial dresser (not as curvy as yours🥰) and also someone gave me a french Provincial headboard and I Will Do both dresser and headboard to match and This Beautiful dresser Of yours is my Inspiration ..If this is good with you 🙏🥰...I will most definitely Post that Your piece as my inspiration piece ❣️😊
Hey Amy, love your videos! I haven't scrolled through to see if anyone else has suggested it but where you're adding the detail on the end of this piece and it fell off, before adding the kwik wood try tapping a couple small nails in along the gap, just sticking out enough to give the kwik wood something to grip onto. Hope this helps in the future :) xxx
