So, this was a bearcat, 😂. Watch the journey as we tackle this not so easy job (that was supposed to be easy) Perseverance does pay off. APTTMH! Although using a air compressor with an impact would've made the job easier or maybe even a torch. We've decided to tackle this in a different angle. Man I’m doing this today but I have to install the whole driveshaft that’s in front of the one your in. The thing is that mf is heavy af. I’ll find a way to put in.

Yes, you definitely have to disconnect your drive shaft from transmission. Maybe you can use some racheting straps to hold up part of the drive shaft; and help you bare some of the weight. If you are replacing the carrier bearing this is our complete process. Always exercise safety first.

The 3 jaw puller might have worked if you would have jam a big screwdriver in it to keep it from spinning with the bearing. In other words stop the puller from spinning. You only want the bolt of the puller to spin.

You mighty be right. Even with the bearing spinning it would have worked it on out. But the center of my 3 jaw puller was in really bad shape, that's why I could not keep going with it. You can definitely try your way and let me know how it works out. Try not to have much fun with it.

Before you replaced it. Did it mess with your rpms or high gear if you have a 13 speed?

Didn't really notice it. But vibration and visual inspection of the issue is what alerted me. I believe this was a 8-10 speed. RPM could be something else, what did your mechanic say the issue was? @@MahlonTane it was a different issue for me. My splitter was leaking air. So my high gears wouldn't engage.

If someone tried to cut off the stuck bearing…. Would it be too much of a big risk??? That you would end up cutting the mating surface???

It's possible that the mating surface can get messed up during the process. It just depends on who's cutting it, how much experience they have... What tools they are using to cut with. I do NOT recommend cutting. But that's just me tho.

I would carefully tap on the yoke with a 3-8 lb hammer to drop each cap. Use a small piece of 2x4 to hit on; so I do not damage the yoke. Do it for each side.

Your u joint need grease bro. It loos very dry.

Thank you for watching and supporting our channel. It actually had grease inside. Maybe hard to see in video, it's glistening inside the cap(looks like wet water drops or glitter). Yes, sometimes it's hard to keep the outside of the u-joint clean. Good thing the grease kept the dirt out. The new u-joint does look a lot better.
