Challenger Flies at 2017 World Series

Bald Eagle Challenger made his 11th appearance at a World Series game on October 27, 2017 at Minute Maid Stadium, home of the Houston Astros. In pre-game festivities for the 3rd game of this series, Master Sergeant Promise Harris, Texas Air National Guard, sang the USA’s National Anthem as Challenger soared above the field-size American flag while the fans in the stadium cheered! At the end of the game, the score was Astros 5, LA Dodgers 3.

Challenger representing his country in the most patriotic way. He is retired now . He was the best entertainment of all time. Thank you AEF and Al Cccere for saving and training one of the best jewels America has ever shown us. God Bless the USA and our people. Challenger brought tears, respect and swelling hearts every time he ever flew for us. .🦅🇺🇲❤️🇺🇲❤️

Absolutely gorgeous! There is nothing better than a bald eagle. We the people can learn alot about the wisdom and characteristics of a bald eagle. Very intelligent. Magnificent ❣️

I'm over here in massive tears watching this beautiful baby flying around. Seen one by my fiancee's work flying - i had to pull over to catch my breath. Love watching them and glad to see them around

I've been afraid to hear it announced Challenger has been retired. At 30 years old he deserves a wonderful retirement. There will never be another Challenger and I hope he enjoys many years to come.

Beautiful, thanks for sharing. I was stunned by the lack of interest in Challenger at the airline terminal! Are you kidding me? There's a Bald Eagle 20 feet from you, and people are sitting there with their backs turned. Amazing.

Awesome! Whoever edited this did a great job! Including Challengers travel footage in your videos is a nice addition and very interesting. Loved the crowds applause at his release. Baseball is so American and Challenger flying there certainly expresses the love we have for our country. AEF thank you for all you do :) great job!

Tom Sawyer. Hi Tom, I also enjoyed getting to see some of their travel footage, like you said, it’s very interesting! To understand how his life started out, it’s mind blowing to think he’s 28 years old! ❤️ I hope one day to experience the honor of seeing him fly in person. His flights always bring a tear to my eyes. I agree AEF has done an awesome job, I am so very thankful for folks like themselves and all that love, honor and help to preserve our wildlife. Thanks Again AEF & Challenger ! 🦅

Hi Blue Skies, the travel footage was fantastic right! I can imagine Challenger is quite used to being in an airplane and transported so often after all these years. True it's amazing he's 28! They can live into their 50's in captivity with a healthy diet so we know Challenger will be our Eagle Ambassador for many more years to come. Every vid of him flying tears my eyes a little ;) . AEF is the best thing that ever happened to our National Bird and Al Cecere deserves great respect for his patriotism and work to help Eagles throughout the years. Talk to you soon :-)

Challenger is/was the best of all time. He never failed to swell the hearts of the people. He made you feel the greatness and joy of being an American. This country needs more of this to turn it around and start heading in a better direction. Tom Sawyer, I loved your post. God Bless the USA.

Challenger is a brilliant symbol of the U.S.A. Incredibly moving and respectful with the national anthem playing. Regretfully in the U.K. there is little patriotism to our country.
