CHAMBA TO DODA Via Padhri Jot-Bhaderwah - New service by HRTC | चम्बा से डोडा Travel Guide | Himbus 

Update as of 26 July- HRTC has resumed this bus service from today. JKRTC bus is also running few days a week on different timings, but they don’t have permanent timetable yet. Update as of 16 July- Due to recent militant attacks in Doda, this bus has been temporarily shortened till Langera. It will resume its full journey to Doda once the situation improves. We will update in the pinned comment.

In the past Bhaderwah and Chamba were one.......Both were ruled by NAG Rajas and have historical deep social as well as cultural connections between the two cities. 🕉️🚩🇮🇳

This was fulfilment of a 2 yr wait Avinash. I cannot thank you and your team enough. 🙂 I had requested that video journey way back in 2022. Here are few of my thoughts at this moment : 1. This has to be one of the most picturesque routes which HRTC provides service on. Bandhal, Koti, Salooni, Langhera, Khundi Maral - all these places simply stole my heart. I hope to go biking on this route soon. 2. If there is a beautiful facility at Khundi Maral, why has Himachal police abandoned that place ? Why is the police post at Khundi Maral dysfunctional after spending lakhs on the facility there ? If Khundi Maral is under territory dispute, how was the building constructed by HP Police in the first place ? 3. I could be wrong but aren't the sheep herders of this area known as Bakerwals ? I had heard that these Bakerwals have a reputation for being violent and it was not safe for trekkers / travellers on this route up until only 10-15 yrars ago. 4. That abandoned HP Police road barrier that you showed is actually quite famous. Many adventure bikers have posted pictures of it on blogs. Some had to return from this point, coz security situation wasn't very good in the years gone by. 5. Padhri Jot is indeed very stunning. I hope the HP and J&K sort out their boundary disputes soon, and we see a Himachal Tourism hotel on Padhri Jot. If not, one in Bandhal.or Salooni is a must have. 6. Pul Doda looks like a very beautiful spot. Hope to visit soon. 7. The Pul Doda - Chhatergalla Top - Basohli - Pathankot also seems like a journey to look forward to. Will we see a video on that one too ? Thanx once again for an amazing video Avinash. I will stick my neck out and say this is arguably the prettiest routes in our beautiful state. I am a regular viewer of "HIM BUS" ,and always liked your so many videos on interior areas of Himachal Pardesh where normally its difficult to go. All of your videos are full of energy and enjoyment while sitting distantly. You shoot your videos very intelligently sometimes while sitting in the bus and sometimes through drones out side the bus but constantly following it either from rear or front side. Your assent, style of telling the important information about fare, distances, local culture etc.is unique and loveable. Pl make a video on the system you adopt for shooting the video and introduce your team members who remain with you along with the equipment you use for shooting the video. I would recommend Govt of HP to honur you as "BRAND AMBASSADOR OF HRTC" for boosting the Tourism in HP. God bless you and wish you to shoot more and more videos on remote and in-excessive areas of our country like Yahya Khan of Pakistan. Regards pl.
