leila josefowicz is a force of nature. Watts had it right. Her commitment is 100%. What she has done since this is remarkable. She now almost always plays modern pieces, some of which she helped motivate to be written. She won a MacArther Genius Award, which is easy to understand if you watch some of her interviews and listen to her performances. No compromises -- fearless and with total commitment. .
