gave this a shot! great trick. tired it on a pair of shears that were well past their prime and they cut like new again. I just free handed the grind. Thanks for the tip!

I'm sure that the ride line gets overlooked a lot from armature sharpeners that only look at the edge and forget about that spot! Thanks for a very instructive video!

Thanks for the kind words. In this case I am using the Hira-To and Twice as Sharp. I sell both of these and sell others as well if you are ever interested. I always sell the machines I carry at a discount from for manufacturer’s price.

@@JimSharpBlog @JimSharpBlog there are quite a few members in my Sharpening guild that have these or have been talking about them. Some even have two! I am thinking of getting into clippers and shears this spring perhaps. I will let you know soon as u have some other business ideas in the works. Keep up the Great work and videos sir!
