Unprecedented - Unbelievable - Untold. For Chamkila AR Rahman & Imtiaz Ali decided not to tuch original songs by Amar Singh Chamkila, his compositions or his singing style. Yet recreate them. Amar Singh Chamkila - was considered a rockstar from Punjab in the 1980s. Lead actors Diljit Dosanjh & Parineeti Chopra recorded 17 original songs by Chamkila and his wife Amarjot. But not in a recording studio. They were performed live. This herculean task was delegated to Hiral Viradia - music supervisor, editor and an alumni of Rahman Music School - KM music Conservatory.
