Champ bailey, Quincy Carter, kirby smart , Hines ward , Patrick pass, orlandis Gary, Larry brown (crim high school also thad parker who I watched personally play in high school explosive player, matt stinchcomb, boss bailey, Richard Seymour, and Marcus Stroud. My favorite Georgia team this is the team that forever links me to Georgia. #GODAWGS...
One of the all-time greats! I had the pleasure of randomly meeting him in Atlanta when he played for my Broncos. We talked for a few minutes. Very humble dude too.
I've been trying to find Bailey's GA highlights for ages now, thanks for the upload - probably the last guy who could've played nfl football based on his merits on offense, defense, or special teams alone. So talented/versatile, some guys are just born to be athletes and he was one of the ultimate examples. At least the Redskins gave us an occasional taste of him at wideout, but once he got to Denver it was clear that a db of his caliber belonged on that side of the ball. Awesome footage!
Sadly I'm not old enough to have watched him play in college live, but it seems his impact on winning was immense. So many of these plays were field-flipping catches or pass break-ups on third down. Not to mention the turnovers, tackles behind the line of scrimmage, and his impact in the return game.
Hunter is the next. Both Charles and Champ didn't play receivers in the NFL. Not with a package for them. College, Champ was a true two-way player. Charles Woodson was borderline. He was good with the moments given to him, but his offensive play was more by necessity than an actual choice on his part. Travis Hunter on the other hand, may exceed them all, which is crazy to say this early. But he's making plays only elite corners make. His WR play is wild too b/c he's being double and triple teamed.
@@dct124 Yeah, Hunter is special. I still don’t know if the team that drafted himself him will be willing to risk him playing both ways all the time but I’ll b surprised if they don’t give him some packages. I don’t think Hunter has 4.2 speed like Green and Sanders did but he’ll run a low 4.4 at minimum. He can sky for the ball and he’s got quickness. Crazy athlete.
@@Ginga The speed won't be a factor. Most DB and WR don't run a 4.2 and game speed is what matters. The man is a nightmare for QBs b/c his intuition is high. I just want to see if the high risk high reward translates over to the pros. I doubt he'll be full time in the pros, but Prime thinks so. I think he'll have packages for WR but play mostly DB. When you play DB, it's not as taxing on your energy. I think that's how he's able to play both sides. He's so good QBs just try not to throw his way. It either gets swatted or picked and he's 1 on 1.
@@dct124 Of course most WRs don’t run that fast but it goes back to my point about most athletic CBs. Hunter can run but I don’t think he can fly like Deion and Green did. Not saying he won’t be good pro because of it.
On this clips I see Bailey, Olindis Gary, Stinkcomb, Hines Ward, Marcus Stroud, Richard Seymour, Quincy Carter. As well as Mike Bobo, Will Muschamp and current Coach Kirby Smart. And they hovered around 5 to 6 wins a season Ray Goff was just that horrific of a Coach
Only reason Champ didn’t make more of a dent in the Heisman race is he didn’t have too many highlight reel plays in his Jr. year. Yeah he was the best DB in college that year, but Woodson made the “it” plays in his Heisman winning season. Champ just made great plays. But nothing stuck out to the voters. Obviously we know what happened in his pro career, but I thought it was interesting that he didn’t get more votes for the Heisman. That, and Georgia only got to the Peach Bowl.
