The new recorded version of this incredible tale was a long time coming. As so many listeners have pointed out in the comments, the audio and the narration quality of the previous version of this story featured on this channel is not at par and leaves a lot to be desired and I totally agree with that assessment. Hopefully, this new improved audio version will remedy the issue. Thank you!

It may have been different, or "lower quality" to some; but YOU NEED TO REMEMBER THIS: Those are peoples opinions, and it's easy to take constructive criticism the wrong way. Hopefully there weren't any bad intentions in those opinions. Even if there were, you should realize that they are saying those things from behind their keyboards and anonymously. None of the people who said anything are content creators, and I'm almost positive that no one who listens to your narrations could come anywhere close to doing it better than you. It's easy to misinterpret constructive criticism, and I just wanted to make sure that you didn't. YOU'RE AWESOME, and if anyone speaks negatively of you or your work, IGNORE THEM. They're either jealous, mean, or just plain dumb. You have a gift, don't EVER let anyone's words keep you from sharing it with the world. Thank you again A
@monicahaymes4361
@monicahaymes4361 Год назад
@@jamess3241 He felt he needed to re-do it. It's not a matter of people being dumb or jealous. The content creator can tell the volume was low, and not up to his standards. The Champawat tiger was recorded in his earliest endeavors. There is no need to downgrade his loyal listeners of which I am one. You can tell the difference in the audio quality. He says this himself. I appreciate this effort, he is my favorite channel on RU-vid. Go in peace.

If you are interested in scholarly discussion of the paranormal events in Corbett stories, I suggest you to read the book "Behind Jim Corbett's Stories" available on the internet. There is a Champawat bungalow, the scream from the empty Thak village, lights aver the Purnagiri and many other, plus the photos of the killing sites, and sometimes photos of the living relatives of the man-eater from Kumaon villages.

Thank you again Apratim. Viewers may also be aware of man-eating tiger(s) currently operating in Pauri Garhwal that has left 2 dead (1 half eaten) and 2 foiled attempts (machan and goat, just as Corbett did 100 years ago) at capturing the 2 tigers believed involved. They think bigger tigers are chasing out the younger tigers (growing population in Corbett National Park....it's beautiful that the population of tigers is increasing so much, but now we have these problems) and they are hungry, starving, and wandering into villages now.

Jim Corbett's stories are a treasure trove of jungle lore, natural history and village life in the himalayas. None of these people deserved to die, but to call a tiger that cannot hunt anymore due to injury a maneater is a helluva thing to say, and is blatantly disregarding the fact that this tiger was a victim of human cruelty.
@selvalore
@selvalore Год назад
Thanks for the comment, jeffrey! I agree with the first statement ofcourse. To your last point, Corbett himself admits in the preface to the book from which this story is taken from, that a tiger takes to man-killing only due to either an injury from a careless gunshot or old age.

Please read jungle lore and my India. When we hear your voice we subconsciously think it is Jim Corbett speaking. My wife and I. Thanks.

Surprisingly Corbett recounts how man eaters seem to know the difference between a man with a gun and a regular villager

Aren't there other Corbett stories that you haven't yet recorded?
@selvalore
@selvalore Год назад
Absolutely, there is a lot of Corbett yet to come! I just had to re-record this, as the previous one was terrible and not up to the standards.

How could they have known this tiger killed all these people and not some other tigers? Did it leave some trademark on it's victims that no other tiger could have left?
@kod1ac
@kod1ac 11 месяцев назад
They were al in the same area that the tiger was residing in at the time so it was pretty obvious

Nothing could be evil and demoic than a maneating tiger grizzlies can be the same but they seem to just kill and eat a person when they come on one unlike tigers who seek and stalk people with almost human reason
@daveyboy6985

Yes they seem quite vindictive and vengeful.

I wonder if any tigers have been killed at any time by armed viiligers, They seem such useless lot with firearms if they have any.
@selvalore

This was a very long time ago. The colonial British government had tight control over the sale of firearms. The few firearms that were used by villagers were homemade contraptions that were wildly unreliable.
