UP PEP SQUAD Definitely Rocks! This squad makes us look forward to watching them every year! ^_^ Everything we have experienced to watch it live (The seemingly endless lines for the tickets, shouting our voices hoarse and jumping for joy like crazy people ), was WORTH IT! UNIBERSIDAD NG PILIPINAS!!!!
ok before the year ends, i cant believe im still watching this. this routine was the best of UP. fast, precise and intense,. i wish they are back with this level. i became a fan of a difderent school now because on how they became slow paced these past few years and didnt improve. sad just sad for UP. :(
I think ang last time na taas ang difficulty ng UP sa CDC ay yung Party rountine nila back in 2013. 2014 still great. 2015 is good but it did get age easily. I really hope that UP change their coaches.
2016 now hus watching? grabe parang ang dali lang ng mga stunt nila dati at pag tambling ang ikli lang, kumpara ngayon na andaming nag improve at buwis buhay ang mga stunt ngayon pati pag tambling pahabaan walang stop stop ehe especially NU na nag improve talaga!
what i like about this squad eh biga biglang nagsisimula yung routine... kahit maingay pa yung crowd nagsimula sila kaagad.. and then after drums pasok agad yung music... grabe yung presence of mind nila.. and the stunts... sobrang naiiyak ako sa ganda! lalo na yung swedish falls tapos nag side extend.. tapos triple twist na log roll... ayy nakakaloka difficulty FTW!~
This is the best recorded video of UP Pep Squad's 2010 routine. Sana panoorin ito ng lahat ng sa TV lang nakapanood at nagsasabing hindi pang champion caliber ang routine ng UP at matauhan sila. GO UP!
When it comes to skills, UP have it all...yun aga yun snsbe u..kht anung galing nung iba sknla padin tyu humahnga...kse yun mga dancer..the way how they stand,dance,..they have the skills...prang course tlga nila ang dancing..na may dancing course nman tlga sa skul nia..maybe dun nila nkha yun skills..

Ang galing ng pagkaka-capture ng video na ito. I love it, sa TV hindi masyado nakita yung complexity ng dance and stunts ng UP PEP pero dito kitang kita. I was there nung nag general rehearsal sila and ganitong-ganito ang nakita ko. :)
agree with you~ there is something that UP PEP can only deliver.. It's something na sila lang ang nakakagawa.. i've had upclose encounters with them and i think it's their passion and their will to bring out something unexpected and to push themselves further.. precision and innovation un cguro ang sikreto ^^

@whatahman : agree!!!! love the music as well. mapapaindak ka sa music nila. that's how you entice the crowd as well. over the years, kakaiba talaga ang UP. You'll never thought that they will come up with that routine. Hats off to their choreographer/s and coaches. hindi nakakasawa panoorin ang UP Pep squad.
partly agrees with you~ there's something about UP's execution that makes them top of the cheer tier^^ and this routine amazed even my uncle who is from UST..
What people don't realize is that almost all stunts are already written and everyone in the cheering industry know all of the different formations and pyramids. It's just a matter of adding that extra something and a touch of innovation plus a greatly choreographed dance routine and good amount of excitement and that personal flare that comes from within the heart and soul. With that being said, UP is probably the most dedicated pep squad in the league.
wow! that was a blast! incredible! they deserve to be on top. :) grabe! napaka-energetic ng dancers! FEU's routine was awesome but UP's the best.. UST's performance was quite great! they've improved compared to last year. hope they will reign next year.
they make it look so easy. ganon sila kagaling. and smart use of music, too. amidst all the kpop/jpop craze today, they are exploding w/ "i am pinoy" spirit. :]

At the beginning of the routine notice one of the dancers on the far right... she's amazing... I've watched the entire video just following her... She's the teams best dancer (not to mention she can do tumbling passes as well)... share ko lang hehehehe...=))
Now I Know why UP Won this time.. Very Fast transitions.. New Stunts.. Simple steps pero pinag isipan kakaibang steps parang yung steps na hindi lageng nakikita?? You know guys what i mean? Its a very close Fight aminin natin wag na magbuhat ng kanya kanyang upuan. Anybody can have the crown pero Up sa ngayon ang naka kuha. Congrats Guys..
Magaling ang FEU~ but there's something sa galaw ng UP pep, hindi ko alam kung ano pero pag pinapanuod ko sila kahit anong galing ng iba sa UP parin ako humahanga...^^ Sana hindi na lang ako nagtest at pumasa sa UPCAT para hindi masyadong malaki ang frustration... 6 years na akong graduate pero hanggang ngayun masama parin ang loob ko na hindi ako sa school na to nakapagaral...T.T

Eto ang totoong cheerdance, i dont care about the tosses and pyramids...you need to have arts skills and knowledge to create a memorable routine like this!
Mga panahong hindi pa naitaas ng NU ang standard ng CDC...starting year 2013 itinaas nila ang CDC at hanggang ngaun hindi na nakahabol ang UP...natalo man ang NU noong 2017 binawi naman nila agad pagdating ng 2018 .ang UP nagpahinga ng isang taon pagkatapos maging bitter pero nong bumalik sa CDC mas lalong nangulelat...habang ang NU pataas ng pataas ang level of difficulty every CDC..
Sad to say wala na yong dating ganito na UP. Napag iwanan na. Ano bang nangyari? Kahit sa Admu at DLSU parang kayang kaya na silang talunin sa CDC. Mga dating nasa laylayan ang naghahari ngayon sa CDC.
Hahaha ano bang problema mo sa 2 yrs or 3 yrs nilang hindi pag championship. Eh meron naman silang 9 podium finishes sa buong cdc eh yung ibang school wala pa ngang 5 pataas, yung UST, FEU at UP lng ata. Kaya isampal mo yan sa bias mong shool kahit puro perya na ang nagaganap hindi yung old style na para bng hindi Cheerdance.
@namcatrooper e di sana nag-scorpion, scale, bow n arrow, o chin chin stunt na lang ang FEU sa buong routine nila. baka nanalo pa. LOL. UP Pep's routine had all the right elements: difficulty, creativity, execution, synchronization, the sharpness of the movements, and showmanship. And the Pep sure made it all look so easy and fun. Ang FEUCS pilit at ang tacky lang talaga ng ibang parts ng routine. Kaya kahit kanino sa 5 judges di nalamangan ng FEU ang UP, pero ang FEU nalamangan ng ADMU at UST.
@joanajoana1888 then you know little about cheerDANCE....FEU perf was full of props and stunts....not much DANCE. The judges were looking for this...3 of the 5 judges picked FEU as 1st runner-up, while 2 picked UST as first runner up....FEU was actually lucky.
@krungkrungmaster: dahan dahan lang. kokonti lang talaga nakakapansin nun. sa iba, lahat ng buhatan e parepareho lang, katulad ng lahat ng tapunan at hagisan! hahah!
As far as I remember, mataas ang points ng dance sa criteria this year. Kaya marami dance elements ang UP. Compare mo naman sa FEU that year na sangkatutak ang stunts and tosses pero poor on dance. So…
@joanajoana1888 kasi naman yung mga dancers sa FEU squad nilagay sa team B, tapos nilagay sa team A yung mga gymnasts na walang alam sa pag-sayaw. Nakalimutan ni Alolor na CheerDANCE ang sinalihan nila. Sus!
