This track is a special one, most of the track is in reference to Peter Pan and Wonderland, and it ties the thematic of the track together nicely, definitely worth a second listen with perspective. Chance operates in his own little subsection of Rap called Acid Rap (Also the title of one of his albums) and is branded as a nice, wholesome guy in the industry due to charitable work in Chicago etc. If you listen to more Chance, I’d suggest probably his largest ‘breakout’ song ‘No Problems’, or look to some of his older works.

ABOUT CHANCE THE RAPPER: Chance the rapper is chicago based rapper who was basicaly unknown until his breakout and debute mixtape 10 Day blew up on soundcloud back in 2012. This was waaaaaay before the term soundcloud rapper was even a thing and back thing soundcloud was just a website to upload music and rap wasnt even the most popular genre on the website. 10 Day blew up on soundcloud with help to the music videos for some songs on youtube and he developed a very strong cult following. The attraction of Chance at the time was his very positive message and uplifting songs that were in contrast to the braggadocios and ganster rap of the mainstream. Chance capitalized on the success of 10 Day with his next mixtape Acid Rap which did everything that 10 Day but better, and was also released on soundcloud. The tape became a classic in some peoples eyes and shot him into the "mainstream" I say that because he still wasnt singed with a record so he got to radio play and the mixtape was on itunes or spotify. Over the next 3 years tours, appearances, a good marketing made him a common name in the rap world all of the back of Acid Rap, which only grew bigger after the years in was released as soundcloud become more popular. He then released his album the Coloring Book after alot of hype in 2016. He was still unsigned but he had the status to where this was avaliable on all music platforms which made the album more accessible therefor shooting him into the real mainstream with radio play ect. Coloring Book continued with the positive trend of his music and had many big named cosigns such as Kanye West. Now he is considered one of the biggest new rappers today up there with Kenrick Lamar if you could believe it. edit: he also does alot for chicago like setting up youth program ect.. lmk if you guys want me to do this ik alot about rappers just from my head and its kind of fun also sorry for spelling or grammar mistakes lol

My suggestion list based on what you guys have seemed to react to strongly so far: Travis Scott-Goosebumps -This track got Travis really big in the scene and also features Kendrick which is a plus. Also a little harder than 90210 Denzel Curry-Ultimate -If you loved Denzel going in on Percs, you’ll love Ultimate. His first hit and it’s a true banger and I know you’ll be fans after this one. Lil Dicky-Russel Westbrook on a farm -This song is an old one of his and really shows of his rapping skills and wordplay ability. I knew he was a good rapper, but this song convinced me that this man is crazy talented. Rae Sremmurd-No Flex Zone -Two artists you probably haven’t heard. Though they are older now, they were very young which they made this track a few years ago and were precursors to the SoundCloud rapper kids around now. Reminds me of 6ix9ine and X as an underground kid phenomenon. Hope you guys enjoy this one. Kendrick Lamar-Backseat freestyle -Another classic Kdot song off the album that made me a star. Not much to tell you other than more phenomenal Kendrick things on this track and a good beat. Hope the suggestions help. Keep up the good work, love the videos.
