Obergruppenführer John Smith travels to Berlin to present footage of a hydrogen bomb test conducted in the Marshall Islands. Whilst most of the officers, who previously believed that Japan had no nuclear capability, are visibly worried by the revelation, understanding that even one bomb could destroy Berlin, acting Chancellor Martin Heusmann refuses to change his mind, claiming that the Japanese are still at a disadvantage. Smith then presents Reichsführer Heinrich Himmler with the discoveries that he has made about the plot within the Reich, particularly the fact that Heusmann was its leader. Himmler then marches into Heusmann's office just as Germany's arsenal is about to be unleashed, and places him under arrest on a charge of high treason - the murder of Adolf Hitler.
