Dr. Geeta's journey beautifully intertwines dedication, passion, and the harmonious blend of science and art. As a young girl, she performed in school, showcasing her talent in Bharathanatyam. Her path, however, led her into medicine, where she earned numerous accolades, including gold medals, and completed her Masters in Pediatrics.
With a brief break before starting her Doctorate of Medicine (DM) at AIIMS,
Dr. Geeta felt a longing to reconnect with dance.
She sought the guidance of Guru Sappa Siva Kumar gaaru and delved into Jayadeva's Gita Govinda, a work celebrated for its exquisite lyricism and depiction of Radha and Krishna's divine romance.
Dr. Geeta's return to the stage was made special by her collaboration with Neetu, a young classical dancer. Despite their age difference, their on-stage chemistry was magical. Neetu portrayed Krishna, while Dr. Geeta embodied Radha, and their hard work in perfecting their coordination paid off, mesmerizing the audience.Their stunning recital was not just a display of technical skill but a heartfelt expression of their shared passion for dance and the spiritual themes of Jayadeva's work.
