This is purely my personal opinion friends. I feel in the entire movie field, i have never seen better on screen pair anywhere. Ananth-Lalshmi pair probably is one of the finest on screen. I also understand that almost all their paired movies have been no less than a silver Jubilee. Ananth Nag-Lakshmi, Rajan-Nagendra music, Dorai Bhagavan direction, KS Ashwath co staring , probably one of the golden combination. One of the finest pair we have and personally my all time favourite actor is Ananth Nag. What an versatile actor he is. I find lot of similarities between Ananth Nag and Sanjeev Kumar in Hindi. Be it comedy, be it serious , mythological, fanatasy he is as fluent as he can be. We are blessed to have him. God bless him with many more movies.
We still have Ananth Nag , Lakshmi, Sundar Raj, etc., Yet we don't see movies like this. Because the people who made movies like this, the taste , the culture & discipline. We won't ever know the names of people who made this. Sure we celebrate Ananth Nag, Lakshmi etc., Well deserved but we greatly have done ourselves the disservice of forgetting the makers & the culture we had back then. Sundar Raj has actually acted in a lot of movies with Ananth Nag. Both par excellent actors including Lokesh & Mysore Lokesh. Ananth-Lakshmi unmatched pair ❤️💕 All senior actors are amazing. The names you have taken indeed speaks a lot about the in which cinema, arts and humanities in India has come to a delusional age of worshipping superficial imaginations as reality. It is actually a team work of hard working, very creative people writers, directors, producers and so many people we will never remember. The days when creative talents came together because they were passionate in what they did and showed love to the things they did what made Ananth Nag or lakshmi what we remember him. Movies like these are culturally apart because all those people who made this today wouldn't have a chance to display their works. It's real estate free money, actors children, politicians with black money and Fandom cult leaders who add no value that make movies today, so is the scene in the arts and humanities in universities they add no value to society
ನನಗೂ ಚಲನಚಿತ್ರದ ಈ ಭಾಗ ಅತ್ಯಂತ ಆಪ್ತವೆನಿಸಿತು. ಇಬ್ಬರು ಮಹಾನ್ ಚೇತನಗಳು ಸಂಗಮಿಸಿದಾಗ ಅವರೀರ್ವರ ನಡುವೆ ನಡೆಯುವ ಸೌಜನ್ಯದ ಮಾತುಕತೆ, ಉಪಚಾರಗಳನ್ನು ನೋಡುವುದೇ ಕಣ್ಣಿಗೊಂದು ಹಬ್ಬ. ಈ ದೃಶ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಅಶ್ವಥ್ ಅವರು ನಡೆದುಕೊಂಡು ಬರುತ್ತಾ, ಬಳಲಿ ಬಸವಳಿದು ಆ ಮನೆಯ ಜಗುಲಿಯ ಮೇಲೆ ಕುಳಿತುಕೊಳ್ಳುತ್ತಾರೆ. ಆಗ ಅಲ್ಲಿಗೆ ಆಗಮಿಸಿದ ಆ ಮನೆಯ ಮಾಲೀಕ (ಸಂಪತ್) ತನ್ನ ಮನೆಯ ಜಗಲಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಕುಳಿತಿರುವ ಆ ಆಗಂತುಕನ ಪರಿಚಯವನ್ನು ವಿಚಾರಿಸುವ ಪರಿಯೇ ಅತ್ಯಂತ ಆದರ್ಶಪ್ರಾಯವಾದದ್ದು! ಪರಿಚಯವಾದ ಬಳಿಕ ಸೌಜನ್ಯದ ಮೂರ್ತಿಯೇ ಆದ ಸಂಪತ್ ಅವರು ಊಟವನ್ನು ಮಾಡಿಕೊಂಡು ಹೋಗುವಂತೆ ಆಹ್ವಾನಿಸಿದ್ದು. ಹಾಗೆ ಅವರು ಆಹ್ವಾನಿಸಿದ ಕೂಡಲೇ ತಡಬಡಾಯಿಸಿ ಒಳಗೋಡುವ ಅಲ್ಪ ವ್ಯಕ್ತಿತ್ವ ಇನ್ನೋರ್ವ ಮಹಾನ್ ನಟ ಅಶ್ವಥ್ ಅವರದ್ದಂತೂ ಅಲ್ಲವೇ ಅಲ್ಲ!!!. "ಅಷ್ಟೆಲ್ಲ ಯಾಕೆ ತೊಂದರೆ ತೆಗೆದುಕೊಳ್ಳುತ್ತೀರಿ? ಏನೂ ಬೇಡಿ...." ಎಂದು ಅವರು ಹೇಳಿಕೊಳ್ಳುವಾಗ ಅವರ ಮುಖಭಾವದಲ್ಲಿದ್ದ ಸಂಕೋಚ ಭಾವ, ಸಭ್ಯತೆ ಅಬ್ಬಬ್ಬಾ....... ನಿಜಕ್ಕೂ ಅದ್ಭುತ ದೃಶ್ಯವಿದು!!

I saw in another interview of SK Bhagavan that Kalpana was the original choice for this movie. But she was replaced by Lakshmi. I feel Kalpana would also have performed exceptionally well.
