BY FAR the best Chanel show I've seen. I muted the sound and played GRIMES, So heavy I fell to the Earth (extended version) on loop. It was magical mixed with genius, I just wish I knew who all those Dames were/are.
Wow... There's nothing quite like soft silk Charmeuse dresses! I love how Chanel doesn't ever leave the legs bare... Always amazing tights or high boots... love it!
Watching this as the 2023 MET Gala is beginning. I would be delighted if even a single look from this extraordinary collection appears there. Karl only ever improved as a designer and, strange may it be to say, he was cut down in his prime in 2019. 👑🥀
First song: Beak> - Backwell, second song: Hand me down your love - Hot Chip (it's been altered for the show), third song is unknown, fourth song: SPace - Magic Fly
To be honest , Chanel is really ....very BORING . Almost the same every year , didn't see much difference. With a bit of sewing experience , you can make suits yourself . Add some fancy fringes on , and you get Chanel Couture Suit .
What else did you want them to do? Tell us. There's only two arms and two legs, everything has been done before, it's about styling now. And Iris Van Herpen's clothes are like an ugly craft project version of what McQueen did. A stiff plastic or metal dress? It's like a 5 year old glued it together. And the softer pleats dresses have been done way better by Galliano where he literally made fabric look like flower petals.
for me it isn t boring at all ... I love it even after years ... its just an spectalur mixture ... the colours, the fabrics, the hair dos, the accessory in any way ...
