It's so pretty! I'm late in the Chanel game😅. I didn't really like it enough before, but 2mos ago I just got my first ever Chanel WOC in caviar SHW for Mom's Day and I got a lil Chanel fever. The new pricing hurts but I would love to have a Tiffany,iridescent or pastel blue mini if I can't have the medium flap. Oh I would be beey upset too if it get scratched like that.
Hi Hayley, Sadly the iridescent lambskin bags sometimes are more delicate (show scuffs/scratches/rubs) more easily than the regular lambskin bags (excluding the older versions). If u are interested in a patent mini, I would suggest a patent so black in the mini reissue. I have one, and it's amazing. It's my drinking bag (esp. with friends). I live in Vegas and so it's nice because I don't have to worry about it as much.😂 As for my own past experience, I know what you mean by someone else ruining your bag. I had the same thing happen to me. Was at a karaoke bday party place, and my white mini rectangular was (I thought safe) on a bench behind the chairs. I found it later pushed in one corner (by who knows which of my drunk friends)... guessing someone sat on it.😢 I managed to push it back out, but there's a huge visible crease/dent underneath the bag now. I spent a little over $4k on it in 2021 (it was my bday bag). Oh well, I still love it and luckily it's not super noticeable damage. 🤗
@@hayleysroom look for the one from 2020 so black mini reissue... (it was during the pandemic, before they started with all the crazy price increases--retail was $4k, before taxes). It's beautiful and there is a subtle glistening of rainbow flecks in the black chain when held up to daylight. The reissues are usually better priced than the minis. The one I have also has a flat bottom, unlike most reissues. I also don't want to scare you from using your bag. The iridescent lambskins I had were from 2017 fall, and were bigger bags. It was the medium CF purple iridescent lambskin and silver/lavender iridescent lambskin 2.55 reissue small/medium classic, also from the same season (fall 2017). Maybe it was also that particular batch (and the sizes), but mine showed a lot more wear (they were my first Chanel bags), and despite hardly using them, I felt they were more delicate. I also had never had any luxury bags before them, either, so I had no clue how to care for lambskin. Regardless, the good thing about iridescent bags, is no one will notice unless they are actively inspecting the bag up close. The bags remain beautiful, with all their imperfections. If anything, they show the marks of affection with pleasurable use. ☺️🩵🩷
Chanel really has no room to be selective on who they’re selling to right now. I purchase Chanel from resale sites as well. Often times for way more than retail value for the same reason as you. The boutiques in NM aren’t bad but forget the main ones. They’re all a$$hats! I personally hate the classic flap. The strap is too short.
