It makes me happy to see how happy you are with your Gabrielle bags! Both of them wouldn´t be bags of my choice (not even if I could afford them...), but you certainly rock them! I agree on your doubts about the big shoulder strap with the Chanel wording on it. In my opinion this bag is consistent on its own and does not need the strap.

I got the exact same Gabrielle hobo this January after lusting for it since it came out. Like you, i was ambivalent about the short strap but at that time, it was the only medium available. I use my hobo all the time, loving the many ways I can carry it. It was definitely a worthy purchase for me!

I love the Gabrielle, and if I could afford to invest in a Chanel bag, I think that would be the one. The contrast of the quilting and the smooth leather is so beautiful (and yes, it does have a creased look, but it's so obvious that its intentional). The fact that the branding isn't so obvious really appeals too, I'm not into branding! I don't get dressed up too much, so bags need to be able to be worn casually, so this ticks do many boxes. Please keep up your videos, it's great that you are so passionate about your bags, and the reviews help me focus on what's important and what's not, if and when I choose to invest.

Scarf is a good idea, I have a small Chanel roll top bucket bag and do not like fully pulling in the chain as it’s quite delicate and the cc looks better , so I pop a scarf on the top especially when I am on the Southport train heading into Liverpool makes me feel more secure💕💕

I didn’t like the look of the Gabrielle when it was first launched but it’s one of my favourite Chanel bags. It is easy to style and use. The chain strap is like jewellery and you can wear it so many ways.❤️

I actually didn't realise I liked the Gabrielle until I tried it on. I have a feeling this is going to be one of those bags that will gradually become popular and stand the test of time. Unlike those bags that become popular overnight and die off just as quickly It is the most comfortable and practical bag I own.
The back pack is cute, the Gabrielle suits you; I know what you mean about structured bags I love your Trendy and Jumbo (how is it I know the names - you’ve taught us all well) 😂 stay safe

I love your perspective. 😊 the Gabrielle hobo is growing on me. But I really want a slouchy hobo bag in a softer leather to use casually. Like the Hermès picotin. Just wish that one could be worn on the shoulder.
Hi Emma. Glad you're enjoying your recent purchases. I guess England is just more stylish than where I live. I frequent a very affluent area quite often (Newport Beach, California) and I rarely see designer handbags. Well, other than LV Neverfulls. Occasionally a Chanel flap....a couple of Birkins at fancy restaurants. I enjoy spotting handbags so it's a bit disappointing. Maybe people here just spend more money on their cars....or plastic surgery. ;-D
I love the Gabrielle bag. It is unfortunately smaller than the bags I tend to carry because I haven't figured out how not to bring half of my house with me when I leave it. But that is a really good looking bag.
I got the bucket bag from fashionphile a few mo this ago. It was cream although the picture looked white. The chain was wayyyy too long (I’m 5’2”) but I mean way too long. Pretty small. The outside panels were a bit weird. Red inside which bothered me because I like very light slg’s in the summer and I was afraid of color transfer. Sent back right away. I think I want the small backpack instead. Thanks for the review! Actually I think it was called the Gabrielle purse bag.

I have metal hooks that hang around my headrest legs that I secure my bag on when I'm driving - bought after needing to do an emergency stop and watching (in slow motion) my handbag fly forward and onto the floor 🤦
I love both the bags and think the Gabrielle is pretty cool - just maybe no 3.5K cool!! lol Btw what do you use to achieve your soft curls in the video....your hair looks gorgeous?
Such and in-depth review! Thank you :) Your Gabrielle hobo is just a stunner! I have the Gabrielle backpack and I am obsessed with it, initially I wasn't a fan of the hobo but now I want it. I am now torn as to what my next bag purchase should be (aka Emma what would you suggest please) Chanel Mini rectangular or LV Dauphine (found it in amazing condition for a very good amount off pre-loved - also if I buy the Dauphine I could also purchase the Valentino rockstud spike bag)
They look so good on you! But i feel the backpack is fussy to use, because the straps will move about when you try to get stuff from the bag while carrying the bag...
I have the small Gabrielle backpack and I bought an insert from a company called Zoomoni. They do one specifically for this. It has a few outer pockets where small bits fit nicely. It sits really high in the bag though (which I like) The same company does an insert for the Chanel medium boy bag, that works great for this backpack and sits lower. I also added rings on the grommets. Added a strap, which means I can just sling it over my arm like a shopper tote. Works comfy. Love both bags on you, great buys 💜

I was surprised to hear you say the Gabrielle is the 2nd most expensive bag you have since you have a few Lady Dior bags. I'm assuming that's because of where you live? Here in the states the Gabrielle is pretty comparable in price to the Lady Dior

Hiya Emma, I’m gonna give you my honest opinion, I love the Gabriel bag but I’m not a lover of the backpack. I know loads of people say how lovely they are but their just not for me to be honest.but the Gabriel bag is just so easy and carefree looking that’s my type of bag to be honest. I really love the Gabrielle and I would adore to own one but from what I they often look "limp" after awhile, that turns me off because I like bags that mantein their shape, so I'm really torn. I don't want to have buyer's regret...
Hi Emma! Have u ever put the strap onto the back pack? I have both too and thought about putting the strap on back pack so it has a top handle but not sure if the rings fit. I should really get it out of the box to test it 😂
I bought the small Gabrielle with the handle and same for me.... would have been better to go with the one without the extra strap 🙄 I’m wearing it with the strap clipped in diagonal
I really wish the Gabrielle felt good on me, but when I tried it on in store (before all this) it was WAY too long on me and the chains felt heavy. ._.
