Exactly! I just sent you a message about what does the bag look today? 2024 and I have 2 mini 1 medium double flap all lambskin myself. I always condition them after each use and it keeps your back perfect if I ever get a scratch or anything I just rub it and it goes away so make sure you condition every time that you put your bag up wipe it down a little bit with a little bit of spray you can use Cadillac like you’re doing or you can get Maguires spray get the leather cleaner and the leather protectant conditioner. It is awesome. I use it on all my Chanel bags, caviar and lambskin! ❤❤❤
@@zuzuribeiro7576 sometimes if you store it in properly, I put something in my very back pocket of my medium double flap and it created a crease in the back. I’m working now to try to get rid of it but as long as you store it properly and don’t use that inner pocket behind the flap you should be OK, and don’t use your bag every day for months in a row rotate your bags every couple weeks at least I usually change my bag every week or every two weeks or just grab a specific outfit❤
This is why I hesitate to buy lv and Chanel these days. If the quality was there, at least I could semi justify it to myself. I’d pay $6000 for a bag that I could keep and would look good for the next 10 years for sure. Now their purses look worn after 2 months of use? They keep increasing their prices but the quality is going down the drain. It makes no sense
100% correct. Just the feeling, analysing & in depth check of both bags, one can tell that CHANEL is overhyped qt least, price wise. It shouldn't be that expensive as it doesn't have the quality. Better bags are there in the market.

Interesting comparison for size. I'd like to see what fits in the Jamie too, with it being less structured. The lining up of the leather and seams is definitely better on the Chanel mini though, especially when the flap meets the body. I don't like seeing the sides and the bottom bulge out around the front panel of the YSL bag. I wonder how old the YSL is too. Lambskin is very delicate, so caviar would be a better choice imo. Both bags are still lovely though.
Thank you for this review. Wow. The wear and tear is disappointing. Although I’m not surprised because I can see my WOC having the same issue though. It’s still very pretty bag though. The price you got is wonderful. My price limit for a bag is 3k. So I know I will probably not own any classic flaps. A friend of mine sold her chocolate bar east west for $2200 and I actually fell in love with it. It seemed less fragile compared to my caviar WOC Maybe because it’s vintage. Lol. I’m happy with my 2 affordable Chanels. ☺️
I do believe there was more care put into the vintage bags. I do still feel lucky to have it and also I would consider selling it if the opportunity to own a better and bigger version in caviar came up!
Get meltonian cream polish in black, it will touch up small scratches and corner wear. Make you buff it well. Saphir cream polish in black is also great.
The corner wear is incredible. I cannot afford an original one and bought a 100-dollar leather copy from China and even the fake one after two years has fewer tears even though I wear it daily. Chanel really needs to increase its quality control or introduce lifetime guarantee
pretty phone case! your chanel bag is exquisite and classic but I never realized how tiny this style is (I'm a pack rat though), and I'd be bummed about the wear on the corners, too! you seem like someone who takes amazing care of their things. thanks for showing this comparison, both bags you showed have a similar vibe but the chanel seems like the value is all in the CC logo! rock it, though! it's one of those things where I'd be pleased to receive it as a gift but would hesitate buying for myself because the +$4K could go much further somewhere else. but it is still so beautiful and it feels good to have something that is worth a small fortune even if it's just the label on it.

I hardly wear the bag, if even once a week. Maybe once a month like going out to dinners or maybe it’s from putting it in its dust bag to put inside a tote when traveling 🤷🏻♀️ I do love the Chanel though, I’d put the money for the next bag up. I feel they cheapened the mini 😢

It’s a beautiful bag not bullet proof. Totally agree with that statement. So many especially the younger ones don’t understand that it doesn’t matter how much you pay bags show wear. Especially in lamb. That’s why I avoid buying lamb. I do have 2 pieces with lamb. Barely wear. Not a ysl gal at all. Hate their logo.

Hi Michelle! I thought maybe you should try a leather conditioner and protectant? I use Lovin my Bags Delicate line for my Chanel. I notice a a lot of brand new leather items are kinda dry/dehydrated even at the store. Might feel a lot softer/luxurious after conditioning!
Do you still have this bag today? If so, can you do an update? How is it doing? I have a metallic silver and an oxblood color both lambkin minis and love them both when is around six years old one is four years old and mine are holding up lovely. I also have a medium classic double flap and lambkin and it does great but since day one, I’ve always put leather conditioner on mine have you done that to yours? I always clean and condition my bags, every few months and I always condition them at least once a month wiping down with a microfiber cloth with some good leather conditioner. It is very important for maintaining the leather appearance if I get a scratch or anything, I just rub on it and it goes away no complaints. I have more problems out of my medium classic flap. I’m starting to get a crease in the back, but these minis are awesome. I want to get another one.❤❤❤ been a subscriber for a few years now just getting back into watching handbag videos. I think Caviar Woc will be fine instead of this chanel mini in lambskin. I have an MK in lambkin is very durable not even have any scuffs up until today I used it almost every week it’s 3 yrs old now. 😩 the money you lost is so much for a Chanel that expensive 😭

If you want to shop for quality then go to Hermès, I find their quality WAY BEYOND Chanel's. This is what I have done when I felt bored with LV, I went to Hermès.
@@dialmstyle LOL 😂I am not bored with LV trunks though I really feel their trunks and maybe exotics/capucines are made from good quality level but their canvas bags no thanks. I dont think their canvas quality is on par.
What i learnt from youtuber super dacob. The animals are fighting each other et have scratches on the leather. Maybe you can get a pro on far fetch to paint the corners. Super dacob also mentions the top premium leather goes to Hermes. I hope this helps.
I'm not a fan of full on and esp delicate leather thank God😅! ( Bec they are way expensive and I saw diff kind of corner wears, it cheapens the bag and I don't like it). When I see wears on vintage Chanels and they're asking an exorbitant amount I'm flustered like really?! What the heck they're thinking🤔.
Wow that’s so disappointing with the amount of corner wear on such a newish-ish bag! I just bought a vintage Chanel mini which is over 30 years old and it is in amazing condition. Hardly any corner wear, the only minor flaw is a bit of structure loss on one side. But the lambskin is still buttery soft with a nice sheen to it. Plus it has the 24K gold plated hardware and the size being larger than the current day mini, it fits a whole lot more items, almost same as the medium classic flap. I was also eyeing YSL Jamie bag before, and this video makes me want it even more! Thank you for featuring the Jamie bag in this video, there aren’t many reviews on this bag on YT at the moment 👍
I must say that the lambskin is very fragile leather. People should buy a lambskin bag , not chanel and wear it so they understand what lambskin means. It is like silk and poliester, you can't wash silk in laudry machine. This type of materials you should not only afford to buy , but afford to take care of, have time or people to take care of them. Lambskin is different, sheep skin is more sturdy. Also you sgould learn that lambskin rubs faster if you wear wool and some other materials, You may be surprised that there are people that wear chanel for 5 years and they have no rub off. But indeed you pay for the style and logo.
You make me feel better about buying knock offs. I understand paying for a name to some degree BUT come the heck on! Chanel is funny.. They have a costume jewelry line that isn’t even real gold or anything and they want $500 for what is basically equivalent to Clair’s! It’s laughable!
