Congrats in making it to 1K subs! That is quite a milestone. For anyone who it curious, Iodo makes some outstanding items. I have a couple of pieces. A cluttered shop is no fun to work in. It steals your drive to put out products and it can even become unsafe. My smithy/work areas are undergoing a major cleaning and overhaul right now. At least you have notes to guide your videos. It does help reign one in when one starts rambling - as I tend to do. Seeing your notes on-screen doesn't bother me at all. BTW, I love the North Carolina tag hanging on your cabinet.

I absolutely agree, while I keep all my clutter against the back two walls and try to keep my bench clear so I don't have to much of a fire hazard, it has still gotten way worse than I should have let it over the last few years and I have had a few minor injury's just from standing on things/tripping over glad you don't mind the notes, thanks for letting me know :) and you noticed the license plate! those have come from visits to car shows
I noticed the plate right away. Cool. I have come to really enjoy your style of producing videos. Your sly humor, together with the perceived (by design or not, it's endearing and brilliant) haphazardly incidental evolution, make it all personal and relatable. It's the honest person who includes their bloopers and mistakes. A cluttered workplace is the sign of a healthy mind. Or something like that.
Please leave the notes onscreen. It's a useful tool for you and maintains fluidity. As for tidying up.....I've made nine times as many projects since cleaning up my workspace. No shame in taking time off for a better environment.

LOL Thanks :) the gambison is literally just because I found it while clearing out my room Thx for the offer but I already have a very nice rucksack that was made for me as a gift by a friend and I am avoiding doubling up items

Hey, I don't blame you. I have a two story shed that I can barely walk in and it's high time for me to clear some junk out. Honestly I have to move five things just to get to the one thing I need.
If the notes on screen help then by all means, it'd be really silly of someone to be bothered by something so harmless. This video reminds me i really need to clean up/ de-clutter the various workspaces i have around the homestead. Ive been puttng it off far too long lol

@@TexasJack1886 yep, although it's not so much just tidying, and more of a complete home overhaul, I spent today insulating the loft (after putting the wet insulation in the skip), and we have decorating happening at the same time, it's busy LOL

If it works it works, and it don't bother me one bit! But if in the future you do want to look into other solutions for having your notes/script available while filming, there's "telepromters" that work with your phone that you hook onto your camera. As I understand it, they display the text on a two way mirror between you and the camera. Pretty cool piece of tech, but I have no idea what they cost.

I have used a proper telepromter in the past when I've done media projects at high school, they work and they are cool, it's basically just a black box with a hole in both ends and a polished pane of optical glass that sits at 45 degrees in front of the lens, so the camera can look straight through but the user can see a reflection of the screen that points directly upwards underneath it. It would be quite easy to make one but that would mean I would have to write a teliprompt script and I don't usually bother, I prefer a random collection of vague notes to keep me mostly on topic The first piece of equipment I really need is a better microphone :)
i think would be better if when your speaking the music is lower volume. and at the volume it was in this video when showing things but not speaking. im hard of hearing and struggle to understand when music is same level as voice. keep up the good work x
I am sorry, because it was a quick short update video I did deliberately put the music a little louder than I normally do, partly because I didn't have much time to key-frame all the volumes, and partly because me standing there just talking seemed so boring, I will keep this in mind for future editing, it also doesn't help that my microphone is terrible
