UPDATED 2023 Tutorial on how to change your Google Search location to carry out SEO keyword research in different countries.
If you’re a growth marketer or are someone looking to grow their business, you should be working on SEO as an early-bird marketing strategy. SEO is great for long-term growth and is most definitely not dead even in 2021.
When implementing an SEO strategy, you’re looking to carry out keyword research for your business product or service. If you’re in a different location (thanks Location Services setting😤) to where you want to see search results for a particular keyword you’re searching, don’t worry.

Thanks for this vid, man! I'm a product researcher and I've noticed that recently, Google has changed its settings layout when changing search regions. SEOquake worked really well for me.

Thanks for that. If you are using a different countries SEO do you have to type it in their language or do you type in English and the clever wires translate that for you ? If so I would have to use a translate tool and then copy and paste the word into the browsers box.

Great question. So your display language isn't forced to match up with the query you're attempting to search. So if you search in Spanish, the search engine is smart enough to give you the results based on what it knows users searching in Spanish are looking to find. It can return different language search results since it considers your initial query. Does this make sense?

For Iphone you will have to go to Google itself and see if the option pops up for you there. I myself use an Android so you can head over to Google and then it gives you Language options and Location in the settings area.

after all doing these in video they show (Results for Karachi Central, Karachi Choose area) and in the end some business listing show from my location Pakistan, why not USA?

- What was your search term? - Have you refreshed the page? - (A bit obvious) but did you apply the location change and hit 'Save'?

kalamih alaedadat alsarieah If I am logged in by email on the browser, the quick settings word does not appear for me, and therefore I cannot modify the search country. However, the browser must not be logged in with any email in order for the quick settings word to appear to me.

Look, there is a solution that I knew. You must not log in with any email in the browser you are using. At that time, you will find the punch line visible and you will be able to actually change the country. Otherwise, you will not find it.@@goldtraderzayn

They have updated it since and I can release another video about this. Even if you aren't logged in, the "settings" option appears on the bottom right. Then you select Other Settings and head over to Language and Region. Hold this helps and let me know if that works.

This doesn't work any more. You can change the region, but it has no effect. It reverts to your IP location.

Insightful and you are right however, you can still choose to look at results in other regions regardless. It can't force revert because you can always change language and region, and a lot of people are using VPNs now. Try the SEOQuake way, because it's more consistent. Let me know how it works out.

@@GrowthVertical It is impossible to look at the results from different regions without using a VPN. Google is dying anyway. Hard to find anything useful there.

@@i.k.8868 🤔This is interesting considering those tools are also updated with those things in mind. I wouldn't say dying, it's just changing how it offers information to people. We'll obtain information and answers differently. If you're specifically talking about SEO, that will become intensely difficult moving forward. There are always new ways of doing things, that's where we need to get creative and understand the changes to implement better solutions.

@@GrowthVertical No, it is really dying. It is not giving information, just a handful of paid ads and usually nothing more.

@@i.k.8868 That's a fair point 👍 It's important to note that Paid will stick around, but AI will takeover a lot of the organic results out there. If you really feel it's dying, then you're presuming that Google will be non-existent in the future and we will not be using it anymore - which won't be a thing just yet. It has become a part of everyone's lives, those who haven't adapted to using it will be and therefore the only options left for businesses to compete is with ads.
