Change is in the Air for Taronga's Chimpanzee Community 

Taronga Zoo's famous Chimpanzee exhibit is about to get a renovation so the world renowned Chimp community is moving to a different neighbourhood the Orang-utan exhibit.
Chimpanzees live in complex communities with constant politicking for favour and status. This move will certainly change the way the chimpanzees get on with each other. What these changes may be, nobody can predict now. At the moment one of our males is challenging the authority of our Alpha male Lubutu. This is normal behaviour for Chimpanzees and reflects the very natural relationships within this group.
