Fear is the main factor, but watching you is motivating me to maybe try. I was in Cancun and Acapulco in may, I didn’t see any of that terror we hear of and watching you just makes it seem doable. A long motorcycle trip is an adventure filled with hardship, heat, cold, bad roads, dodgy towns. It has its ups and downs, it takes grit and courage to get through the tough parts. It really isn't the destination but the journey. The journey is what makes the story. A motorcycle trip is a metaphor for life's journey.

Sorry to hear of your friends passing, Danny. I'd have watched whether you headed to the USA or Acapulco as I'm sure the content would have been good either way. I know the feeling of riding in wet weather as I did a charity ride from John O'Groats to Lands End in 1 day and it pissed down the entire way, ending in freezing fog, at night, for the last 50 or so miles. It was fekkin horrendous and every part of me just wanted to head home half-way through but I got through it. Funny little bit was I stopped for petrol and was queueing to pay for my petrol and the lady serving looked a right battle-axe and in a really bad mood. I got to her and said, "Number 3 please and can I have two carrier bags" she looked at me and asked what the bags were for (her tone suggesting I was not getting these bags!) and I said, "My feet are piss wet through and freezing, I'm going to change my socks and then put the bags over my feet to keep them dry"... She thought for a second, had a little smile and said, "Fair enough" and handed them over. This was when bags were free by the way but I'd have paid a fiver for those bags at that time!!

Sorry for your loss Danny, i think we've all as bikers lost good friends in accidents and its always devastating, RIP Rod. That was one tough ride, everything against you, it goes to show that mental toughness is essential to be able to keep pushing on when all your body wants to do is stop, great vlog and what a place to end it in that amazing looking hotel.

You should definitely bring rain gear with you. Such a jacket will not only save you from the rain, but also help keep you warm when it's cool, as it is not blown by the wind. Rain boot covers and pants are also useful and do not take up much space. Greetings from Russia, my road king is also a chariot)

Danny whenever I purchase a tire the first thing I ask is "How is it in the wet?". Riding in the wet scares the shit out of me. Spot on with your description of how the very highest levels of concentration and physical fortitude must be maintained in order to not crash. So very good on you for not crashing. That was some grit filming right there. One of the best so far.👍

You need the $1 dollar rain pancho`s from the Dollar store . They come in a little pack that you can fit 4 or five in your top packet . I keep 2 of those in my bike bag and throw it away after I use one .

I believe that by just giving yourself a quiet safe place to put your head down makes a world of difference. I know it is too late now as this trip has come and gone, but if you suspect an oil leak like that again, wash the bike in the area where the oil is and check again the next day to see if it is a problem that needs to have an eye kept on. Nice work deciding to turn around and continue with the adventure, and thank you for the great content.

Great vlog, once again. I know your friend would be proud. We all live vicariously through you to some degree. After every episode, I'm reminded of a sign next to my bike in my garage that reads "You never see a motorcycle parked outside a psychiatrist's office."

Generally the biggest difference between a sport bike tire and a heavy touring Harley tire is the Harley tire is a Bias-ply tire while the sport bike is usually a radial ply tire so, change is as soon as you can and yes, travelling in a 3rd word country you best have a spare tire and for extra measure a tube for both front and back tire.

Love your vlogs. Puebla sounds like (Poo -welbla)and if its a Pueblo (poo elblow) hope that helps in your vocabulary. Now I'm getting the vibes for A road trip in my home state Louisiana, but we have so many potholes it looks like Swiss cheese. No kidding. Anyways, ride on dude. As for the raingear I use Frogg Toggs rain suit since we get rain all the time especially during hurricane season. I also use a special type of "rain x" for my glasses when it rains, the water glides right off and able to see very well.

Yep keep on smiling Danny ,, if your ever up in the great white north the Lake Superior loop is some of the best riding in North America I think around 6 days to do the actual whole loop or you can stay in Canada along superior
