Thanks for this. Best video I found on RU-vid for changing double treble strings. I appreciate the helpful details for novices, "angled down," for example. I felt lost after watching other videos until I watched you manipulating the string with pliers. Before that, I couldn't get the coil to start forming without the wire tip slipping out of the tuning pin after a half turn or so. When I did manage to get a coil started, it soon got all cockeyed. Was incredibly frustrated before watching your video, but then I got all three strings that needed replacing done tonight with six nice tight coils.
