I was stuck with no option for change the wifi as others were. I tried the reconnect option and that was going nowhere also so I found your video and it took me about 5 minutes away from the task with the light spinning white. While the video didn't cover that issue it gave me patience. Because after that time away I still didn't have the change wifi option but the reconnect option led me to setting it up as a new device, using my same SIM card (new phone), same ring account, same internet provider, different wifi. Thanks
If you do not see option in the Ring app to reconnect or change your wifi connection - Make sure 1) you are using the device(phone) used to setup the Ring device originally AND 2) You are logged-in as the person who set it up. In my case I had #1 correct BUT was NOT logged-in as myself. I was logged-in as my wife for some reason and never switched back. Once I logged-in again as myself, then the option appeared in the app!
Good video. But Ring should come up with an easier way to remotely change the wifi and even find it easily in the app (the fact I have to take it off the wall is a bit annoying, dont know of any device this complicated yo simply change the network wifi)... What's the point of having an email account?
I like many others do not have the option “reconnect to Wifi Network.” I switched internet provider and Ring hasn’t worked since. I’ve powered down my router and no luck. There must be a solution for us who don’t have the “reconnect to Wifi network” listed on our Ring app!

Ok, so let me get this straight, this video is for when you did away with your old WiFi service provider and now have a different one and need to change over your ring doorbell to the new one, correct?
Weird, my DB 2 gets to the Finalizing Connection Step. I just see ROME WAS not built in a day... And goes, nowhere,... I attempted 5 times and it just stops. When it asks me WHATS THE DB 2 Doing. It is nothing.??
I have a question. When I enter on the app. And I try to see my camera, something appear, its like loading cameras and when its 95% nothing more happened. I can not see my camera my device. Do you know what is the issue?
Try taking the battery out. Then kill the power to the doorbell by unhooking a wire or turning off the breaker. Then connect the wire and put the battery back in.
For my case the owner left his RING for the house he sold to me. He did not remove his account off. Is there a way where I can reset the account so it doesn’t show his old username? Bc everytime I try to login, it still show the previous owner. Can you help? Thanks!
Bummer, I wish I could. I would have your realtor get in touch with the previous owner. They will have to remove it from their account. You could try calling customer support but they more than likely wont help.
I have a Ring doorbell 2 from a family member and he doesn't remember his info on the device. How do I reset it and put it in my name without his info?
Bummer! Your best option is to have them call customer support and have them remove it from their account. Otherwise, you will have to call customer support and convince them you are the new owner. They assume it's stolen until proven not. Let us know if you are able to get it switch.
Weird! Is there a reconnect to Wi-Fi network? It should be right above the heading: Device Details...If so try that. Also, see if there is an update for the app.
