A tutorial to present how you can change the language of your Office applications easily. Find the Language package at this address Learn more with Excel here: excel-tutorial.com
As my experiecnce, you can only do this if: 1. You have the language package 2. If you dont have this, then you have to download and purchase by paying some money
Thank you very much !!! It works... I had to download the English setup/version, the layout of the Microsoft language tool was a bit different but at the end, it works, that's great! I am french speaking but so used to the english names of the Excel function, I could not start from scratch and learn the french names. It is clearly a mistake to change the names of the Excel functions according to the language of the user : there are KEY words, it is not a natural language (like french, german, englisg or spanish). To remove the space of a text, you have to learn the name of the function: "TRIM" is not more difficult to remember than "SUPPESPACE".
My office is in german, I can't switch it. I followed exactly what you said. Nothing changes. I don't know what the dialog boxes that come up say when I click ok, I can't read german. I've tried a dozen times. It's german.
It works. You have to enable the languages both for the "Display Language" and the "Help Language", and then click on "Set as Default". If you can't read because it's in another language the "Set as Default" button is right below the language selection box. Then you need to click on "Ok" and restart MS Office. After all this it worked for me.
I was in the middle of typing data into a cell and the language changed from English to maybe Chinese...I don't know. It's only happening for Excel no other office applications. I can't seem to find the switch back to English...... The option just isn't there, do I really need to close the entire office suite? It would be just easier to reopen and re do the excel sheet
My version of office is stuck on portugeese. i can get it to spell check in english but all the tabs, menus, and tooltips are in portugeese. I barely speak spanish so all i'm doing is guessing at things. how to I do a full changeover to english?

It's because you don't have the language English pack install on your computer. You must install it (and buy it) first and then, you will see it in the list of language available
Ok I need help my pc is english and so is the office spell and grammer check but I realy need to be able to use german spell and grammer check for my school. The problem is thet german isnt a verified languge so it doesnt work. If anyone knows how to fix this please help
It will not work untill and unless you install language pack for that specific language. This video is just for those who has different language packs.
This technique needs to download the package language but Micorosft doesn't provide them. But if you work with Excel OnLine, you will have Excel in all the language you want

@@FredericLEGUEN-Excel I am not sure of what append exactly. First I was surprised that English was not available directly. Then the link proposed by the Microsoft system was Microsoft 365. I tried and it works for my Excel 10 version. It works, it is the main point. I have the feeling that Microsoft makes simply more complicated than necessary sometimes.
