What you missed is that there are two new keybind for dropping chaff and flare individually without the chaff / flare selector. Those are "Fire chaff" and "Fire flares".
now an option to play with very limited cas in ground rb. cas is still a major problem in ground rb. i dont mind that its their its a good thing in the basics just cas is almost untouchable from the ground and a lot easier to get lots of kills. and just cap one point die and cash in the kills from 15 km away.
@@gus8310 in every br they are either the top dog or a shared 1st place as top dog. Their is no br to my knolidge where ussr/russia struggles. And in 10.0 and up they are way way to strong. Russia is on both teams quite a bit nowadays wich is telling. To few play other nations as a result of their opness.
@@bencarmine3032 I agree. My point was that they have all bases covered. Their cas cannot be touched by any other nations AA, and their AA is in range of everyone else’s.
shift + a is a bad keybind but damn, people really hate change. this is a SMALL thing at the bottom of the screen. you act like it is a GAME CHANGER and clutters your screen.
Here is another example they added the crew voices I don’t care to hear crews talk I am able to turn that off. I don’t need this weapon selection tool why does it have to be on the screen, player choice will always be better than being forced to use something.
The chaff and flare selection keybinds was such a bad idea. I couldnt rotate my plane with A+D even if i did not pressed shift. I noticed i couldnt fly properly with my 57mm Mosquito. I got shot down while tried to turn it off in ground RB. Thanks Gaijin!
Is ANYONE experiencing the problem of trying to designate something on the mini map and when you click the left mouse button, the main gun fires and no mark is displayed? I have also encountered this when I attempt to change the number of shells taken into battle with the sliding bar. ANYONE, please help if you know how to fix this.
I was wondering if I would be able to make a line up for Ground RB where I use German Tanks and have a USA Plane in that line up, I’ve never tried it and I’m wondering if it’s possible?
I had to change that weapons selector thing from Shift+A cuz that shit got me killed I have shift as a different keybind with something else and I hopped on the game and started playing AirRb and I dove on a enemy and when I did I hit Shift to use the regular setting I had but instead it took me to the weapons selector and at that point you can not steer your vehicle so it face planted me into the ground and I wasn't to happy I had 5 kills and would have had a 6 if that didn't happen. Damn BS selector mode..... I changed it the second I ate dirt. I WAS RIP Shit cause of that keybind bull$h!T.
Most likely it’s set to some weapon selection bind; I believe mine was automatically selected to change bomb series or something like that similar to how visual weapon selector being set as shift+a inhibits you from using that
@@mistere326thegamer9 thanks, I’ll try and find something like that. Edit: I went into the game and theres no keybinds like that. It only happens when in this order I press S and then D. If I press D then S then it works fine but when defensive flying, that makes things a lot tougher.

That new menu bound to Shift A was very annoying. Glad I was able to quickly unbind it. Same with the flares and chaff separator keybind. Honestly they should have made the weapon selector menu more ergonomic, it should have probably been more like the Fortnite emote wheel so you can change weapons in half a second by pressing the button and moving your mouse in the general direction of the icon on the wheel, and then confirming your choice by letting go of the button or something like that. They could have done this for countermeasures aswell tbh. My opinion aside, it would be really cool if they didn’t automatically bind new functions.
Thank you for the tips on how to get rid of the new keybinds. I use Shift/L ctrl as throttle and it really annoys me when I'm trying to WEP and roll at the same time. (Holding Shift and A/D cancels out the roll.)
@@Arcain321 The new keybinds I mentioned apply to all tiers, not just top tier. The reason I couldn’t change them was because I couldn’t figure out the name of the keybinds. (I realize now that I could have looked harder)
virgin top tier player having to key bind 2939292 functionalities with half of them unique to one weapon system vs chad low tier player with wasd, mouse and a dream
I have a way to get rid of this once and for all Step 1 go to controls and type in the search bar : visual weapon selector step 2 disable this setting by pressing the unbind key or use an another keybind which would not interfere with your gameplay
I have Problem with War Thunder. After i installed the update 'Seek & Destroy' , when i run War Thunder Client (eac_wt_mlauncher), it writes: Fatal error, Exeption. I tried literally everything, i started it from the launcher, i checked the files, i installed new drivers, i restarted my laptop, and even deleted the 'cache' folder. How do you make wt to have longer render distance?? Mine render fences like 50meters from me and im at movie settings, is there a mod or a crew setting or what?
Are you on pc? There’s a slider for that, I think it’s called tree range. It’s for all small objects not just trees. However keeping it shorter can be useful, since some objects won’t render at distance. Tanks will think they are hidden when they are not and you can just shoot them
So all they added was a bunch of b*******Nothing getting fixed nothing about all the chinese Cheaters on the US side of servers. Ghost rounds are still a thing. I'd rather have that fixed.
i love the fact that i can switch weapons on screen and select wich missle or bomb i want cause im a console player just push a button and move your controller to what missile you want its like being in a real cockpit and checking your weapons stores
the smaller matches are better if you are wanting to get a certain place on the leader board or getting thunderer etc (for tasks), it is also nice for grinding plane parts as you can be safer doing ground targets.
Thanks for bringing attention to the Visual weapon selector... i WILL be using it, heck, sounds useful to me, but you are right in that it is a bad shortcut bind, so imma rebinding it. Thanks!
First off, if they put new controls in, they should NEVER keybind them for you. We're 40 patches in, no one has the space for them to just put things wherever they feel it should go. Second, FFS, everytime they add ANYTHING ELSE they put a yellow flag to draw your attention to it. WHY DONT THEY DO THAT TO THE CONTROLS THEY CHANGE??
While the keybind they chose was not ideal by any means, once changed having the ability to quickly select exactly what weapon type you want is easily my favorite thing out of this update. For players who carry 3 different weapon types it saves time to select the one you want instead of wasted times and wasted clicks.
When I play tank en my 3pv camera wobbles around as if it was on a big flexible rod at the back of my turret and it is super nauseous, I can’t find the settings
The Radar auto switch is what I’m finding the most annoying. I can’t have my MiG-23ML manually in MTI mode anymore. As I usually keep closer to the hard deck as it makes it harder to hit my plane with a radar missile.
I agree with you, I always wondered how do they always get higher FPS. I have pretty decent Gaming PC that can run any games smoothly and i only get like 50-80 FPS in War Thunder...
I have this weird setting that popped up this patch when I’m playing a jet i use alt+____ depending on what key bind I have set but now when I hit alt and either w or a this vertical and horizontal guidance message pops up and I can’t figure out what it does or how to get rid of it.
