Ability to balance the tires, ability to use any 5 lug trailer wheel on them, ability to gain braking with newer parts and easier to mount tires on the modern wheels.

Why would anyone want to swap out of their 4-lugs? Are they inferior for some reason? Or do you just think 5lugs are 'cool'. I got the same 4-lugs and don't know why i should change. Am i missing something? I've even had bolts shear-off on me before (tech probably overtightened) and car go down on one corner while driving, seems your 4-lugs are safer, no?

I take it that the hubs need to be measured before ordering? I was looking at them and they have a couple sizes! Or best to just measure the bearing!.....glad oi seen this! Cheaper than buying a new trailer...... LOL! Have an old trailer with type rims.

So detailed & easy to understand! Thank you! Quick question: If I don't necessarily need brakes on my trailer (lucked into a used MH axle, to put on my relatively light-weight landscaper's trailer), is there a way to convert this type of axle/hub assy to no-electric-brake? To save cost on the brake-hub, and use "free spinning" hubs? If there's a way I can send pics (to you), I could send pics of the existing axle & hub assy to make it easier to understand perhaps?

Sir, that is an EXCELLENT quick and to the point instructional video!! That looks great when done as well! I have to say, with aluminum, and being spoked wheels, those brakes and bearings will cool more efficiently, yes?? Also, thank you so much for including links to the products and tools, etc!! Note: Some of your links are duplicated and some are not working!

Clean the new brake drums before installing or you won't have any brakes for several miles or until the oil or grease that's on new drums to prevent rust is burnt off. Don't ask how I know.
