I ordered the Skein Tones from Lion Brand, and they are experiencing shipping delays, so I might end up having to do quite a bit of catching up. I turn 80 this year, so I plan on dedicating this blanket as a celebration of my life. I feel so comfortable doing it with you, as you are so organized - I know it's going to be a phenomenal success. I have also 7 blanket squares done for Warm Up America and will use your stitch for the blanket to do some more as I'm waiting for my yarn.
It's funny you didn't knew the crochet hooks had caps in the old days 😂😂😂 I learned crochet 40 years ago and hated doing crochet with the small balls of cotton thread nº50, it took so long to see any advance but when finished it made beautiful doilies 😍 of course I preferred to do crochet with nº6 (much thicker and fast) so my mom made me do a bedspread... It took me almost 5 years to finish 🙈 and I only finished cause it was part of my "trousseau" 😁 of course now no one has time to crochet in cotton thread... I prefer chunky yarn now 😉🤣🤣🤣
That is how I learned to crochet. Doing doilies with the thin hooks and lace thread. I had a hard time transitioning from the fine thread to yarn. Still have hard time with tension. The lace thread you tend to keep tight stitches versus yarn and loose. I also have some of my mom's pattern books and yes, they are not user friendly.😊
I am very excited for everything, but I am nervous about the patterns. I can't read them and I do better with video tutorials as I am and always have been a visual person!
I have never done a temperature blanket I would like to if I do I am going to put one color between ever month like black I am going to put it between ever month I seen some one on RU-vid do this and you know where ever month ends
