So sorry to hear this sad news. For what it may be worth, you have created a community of friends all over the world, in places you may never have heard about. Be assured they all share your pain. I wish you all the best. Stay strong, I know you will.
Condolences. Sorry your brother had to suffer. Hope you have a smooth transition. Looks like a nice place. The yard and the lack of constantly changing neighbors offsets the downsize, imo. Best wishes. :)
Life changes for us all. For the moment, you have big priorities. I'm just glad you are here. Do what you have to do and need to do. We're all just hanging out and will chat along with you when you have time. Peace.
Hey buddy, very sorry to hear your loss. Spectrum guy myself, RU-vid channel and a family. It sounds like he was pretty high on the spectrum. It’s more painful to see when it’s folk who are already disabled in some way. God bless you, John.
Sorry to hear about your sibling. He's at rest now. (on another note, my best friend when I was a kid had an autistic brother....social media and the 'spectrum' has severely warped the perception of what severe autism actually is and how much of an impact it can have on a family. I fully understand your parents needing some space)
Thank you for sharing so much and sorry for your loss as I just lost my father in an accident days ago. I have missed your vids, but definitely understand how life can get in the way. Good luck and I hope to see more videos when and if you get the time and desire. Your channel might not be performing wildly, but you're one of my favorite creators and you make interesting and educational projects.
Thanks for the update John! I’m sure a lot of us were worried for you. Even videos like this about your life and progress are great. When you can do electronic work - we will be happy! Until then - any kind of vids will be welcome:)
OOPS! - I have learned a lot. I am so sorry about your brother, I lost mine through booze. Home is where you make it John, not what it is. Take your time over your grief and settling in. I may be 'across the pond' but I do appreciate your videos. Take care John - John P
Like everyone else i too am incredibly impressed with what you have achieved & your great outlook on life! I truly wished i could achieve what you have done with what you have come up against & met as challenges! Thanks John for bringing us up to date ... regards Pete in New Zealand 🙂
My condolences John. Only time to make these kinds of wounds a bit more tolerable, as they won't really heal completely. Wish you all the best, a follower from Brazil.
Sorry for your loss. I am from the UK and had to smile though when you said……only a small property……with a double garage, out building and 3/4 acre! Over here that’s a country estate! All the best
Sorry to hear about your loss John. I stopped producing YT videos for more than 6 months - lots of medical/hospital stuff, and it continues. I've come back to it slowly doing very short and simple videos. Could you do some short videos doing up your new property? I'm sure people will be interested. I've exceeded both my father's and my eldest brother's age, and I feel I'm always in a rare atmosphere. All the best, Beamer.
That little property has potential, I wish you much success! I'm um... well I have first hand experience with cancer so I leave you this: stay up to date with your doctor, and be persistent if you seek an answer to something your body is telling you. (Not just you, but the whole comment section, especially over 45)❤️
Hi John. Thanks for letting us know that you are ok. Take the time you need to get yourself settled again. It's a big shakeup when people pass from your life. Please feel free to drop a small video now and then to let your audio family know that everything is alright. Even a 1 minute short clip helps to hold your subscribers until you can get back into the tech work. Best of luck.
So sorry for your loss, John. Understandable why you have been idle on youtube. Hope you don’t give it up. I have enjoyed your videos although I’m more a digital electronics, microcontroller type guy.
Hi John, you have a beautiful outdoor space, buy some nice bench and swing and chairs and enjoy living outside during the nice season. Since I moved out of the city I got a green oudoor space and I spend time reading and relaxing, having meals and also working outside. That improved my life a lot. Looking forward to see new audio electronic videos! Greetings from Italy.
Take you time John, we will be here for you when you are ready and able to return to YT, in the mean time we wish you well in your endeavours around the house...
Hey John When heard of your brother passing I was very sorry to hear it. I was going through a similar situation. My elderly father was ill and died quite quickly. I lived with him for some time and he was already declining slowly, but I was still shocked. The family moved into this house 40 years ago, but there wasn't a lot sorting through everything at the time, so I'm now dealing with about 60 years worth of 'stuff' to sort through and get rid of before moving out. He also spent his money traveling, rather than on house upkeep, so there is a huge list of things to do to get this house market ready. So I *really* empathise with you over how much there is to do. You have made a really good start on things and it looks like a fantastic property you have. I recognised the plastic bins and buckets you had lying around. Good luck with all of the changes. One point though, I don't like that new workbench setup you have...it's WAY too tidy!! All the best Rick
Hope things get sorted and settled for you soon. I get tired just thinking about all the work you have on your plate. Hopefully you can relax a little bit and have some rest.
Sorry to hear about brother, and happy for you to take over the house. There's one thing that is really missing from the new place though. A cat. :) Your relationship with Snickers showed really how good of a person you are. There's a kitten somewhere in a shelter that's waiting for you.
I'd like to get another cat sometime in the future. In the meantime, after I get settled, I'd like to take a few vacations and not having a pet to worry over when I'm gone is a plus.
I have been tied up in similar ways too. And a whale of work to get done before the snow flies. I have a couple incomplete videos I should finish soon and early winter I'll have time to make a few more videos. Sorry to see the pool go, I was thinking that would be one little luxury for you. That shed and garage should help a bit.
We enjoyed that pool for 14 years. I think the dog (my parents' pet) enjoyed it most of all. He would howl on the drive over, jump out of the car and run straight for the pool. Pools require a lot of effort to maintain. This one needed new decking. I'd rather direct my efforts elsewhere. Along with recovering the treated lumber, I got a bunch of stainless steel deck screws which are being used on the other renovations.
Wish you get settled soon, work never end, depends on how you handle, replace rotten woods may take long time for a single person, take your time and get some rest.
I'm sorry about your brother's death, my friend. There is a thought that death is close to the elderly, but death has no age and especially the "pain of a child and the pain of a sibling" hurts a person's heart very much. Sometimes this pain devastates the survivors and scatters them from one place to another. I'm sure you will get out of this difficult situation and console your elderly parents.. but that's life.. I understand you are very upset and can't decide what to do right now but if it will encourage you to come back to youtube again, Your channel will always be open to me and I will continue watching. Take your time and don't be late for anything.. May God never give anyone the pain of losing a child..
Sorry to hear about your brother. Wow you have been so busy and that new place looks lovely, peaceful country setting. Could you turn half the garage into a workshop/YT studio to give yourself more room in the house?
So sorry for your loss. You mentioned eye issue? Cataract? I have a right eye retinal detachment four surgeries I have a little sight in the eye. I now use a soldering microscope. It really helps reduce left eye eye strain. Looks like you have doing very well cleaning up the house.
I have fluid behind the retina. It's not macular degeneration, it has another name I don't recall at the moment. I guess they can treat it with lasers if it becomes bad enough. It affects the central vision of my right eye making it hard to see.
England. Dear John, yours is the only American channel I watch, regardless of subject. I have followed you for years. I have to admit quite often I don't have a clue about what you're saying. Nevertheless
Thanks for keeping us up to date. One improvement to your new house that I recommend is a couple of cats. They provide entertainment and companionship, and can always be counted on to do unexpected things like knocking over your parts cabinet, hiding your freshly-washed socks under the bed, or running berserk around the house in the wee hours of the morning!
BLESSING MAN I SEND LOVE AND HUGS nice place you got to fix up .i need to sale out a get a barn in woods or 4 car garage asap lol house size to me is less important but a barn timber frame be great.ill have to cut my own timber for that not hard just a cheap sawmill is needed and barn geek brackets can work so one does not need to to mortise and tinnon joints on 10 acers or so of land to garden on. yea my pc build is amd 3400g vega 11 gpuu built in darn nice rig for all in one apu type i like is even can game a bit better than i expected i suggest a rx6600 gddr6 memory or low profile rx6400 8gb ddr6 allmost half the guts in it but powerfull asf still if one need more GPU than say the 3400g has to offer by it self . that GPU RX6600 and rx6400 both are RDNA-2 is very new tech and only 150.00 to 175.00 so say 500.oo bucks can build a powerful rig easy if you all ready have a case and l ddr4 memory a lot less but thats cheap to really .just figured ill pass that long time to figure out recherché out on yt
"Not enough time for RU-vid" -- waddya mean -- time for a second channel: "John's house-fixing adventures!". Need a new garage? Sponsorship time! Okay okay, maybe it's not so easy. Good luck with your domestic efforts.
How are you buddy.. Friends should not leave each other alone in bad days. I wonder how you feel... I know it hasn't been long, but it will pass. From time to time, write something short on RU-vid about how good you are.. We are still here, take care of your health..
Hi John, hope Snickers is Ok. I'd, myself, use an agent to place the house on the market. Sure they get 6 to 7 %, but getting the home on all the listings and handling all the enquiries is daunting otherwise. I sold both of my previous homes with an agent & still would go agent on a third in spite of picking up details involved in the process.
i live in my small house for 16 years so far , and i have put NOTHING in the attic.. because i know i will never go there again , lol. I will have to soon , restarting my electronics hobby , so parts machines and waiting for fixing will have to go there.
Hi John, I'm a fairly new subscriber. Sorry about your Bro. We share an interest in small amp boards it seems. I also fiddle around with speakers. I'm a blues fan. What music are you into? I do like your new property. There's lots of potential there with your land size. What state are you in? I live in Sydney Australia. All the best for the future. Peace ☮️💚🌈
@@JohnAudioTech oh these Ebay suppliers give me a lot of grief since they seem mostly non-technical resellers of electronics but can't help at all when you ask a question. Have you come across any helpful vendors of inexpensive amp boards? I am reliant on the ones with controls as I don't know how to add knobs and switches to them.
Sorry to hear of your brother, however, on the bright side, you have a little slice of paradise there, quite is an increasingly rare and precious commodity. Lots of work but one day at a time. You don't jump up mountains, you do it one foot in front of the other. Great to hear from you my man, good on you.
