I have the same fears. I'm leaving a marketing coordinator (sole marketer) position at a small firm in a slow paced environment. I feel as though I am lacking in direction, and don't feel I'm providing the value I could be with a guiding hand and supportive work staff of other marketers. I was just offered a position that gives me a 20% raise as a marketing/proposal coordinator in a similar industry, working with a team of other marketers. Really it seems to be the opposite of what you experienced but leaving a good company with good people is always hard.
